فخرج منها خايفا يترقب قال رب نجني من القوم الظالمين ٢١
فَخَرَجَ مِنْهَا خَآئِفًۭا يَتَرَقَّبُ ۖ قَالَ رَبِّ نَجِّنِى مِنَ ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ ٢١
فَخَرَجَ
مِنۡهَا
خَآئِفٗا
يَتَرَقَّبُۖ
قَالَ
رَبِّ
نَجِّنِي
مِنَ
ٱلۡقَوۡمِ
ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ
٢١
Daarom vertrok hij van daar, vrezend en op zijn hoede. Hij zei: "Mijn Heer, red mij van het onrechtvaardige volk."

There are moments in life when the word hijrah stops being history and becomes reality.
Not a journey of choice. A tearing away. A leaving behind.
War changes the meaning of home. One day your belongings are ordinary objects filled with memory. The next day they become things you may never touch again. Walls disappear. Familiar streets disappear. Even parts of yourself disappear.
I keep thinking about how many times the Qur’an speaks...

An interesting similarity between how the Surah starts and ends. It starts with the story of Moses, where Allah swt promises in verse 7 to return him to his mother, and later after killing the soldier, Moses promises Allah that by the virtue of the blessings he gave him, he wont be an assailant to the criminals. Moses then proceeds to leave Egypt, his home, out of fear for his life.
The surah ends by Allah swt promising the Prophet Mohammad SAW ...

Musa is often described as having wisdom and knowledge and wisdom and strength. Knowledge is content of thought. Wisdom is knowing when and how to best exercise it.
