Ayah 50:7
Bismillah
'And the earth—We spread it out and cast firmly set mountains (rawāsi) in it and caused to grow in it pairs (zwj) of every beautiful (bāhīj) kind.'
What a marvel, the language of the Qur’an in this verse. Rawāsi—such a carefully chosen word. The Qur’an could have said Jibal, the ordinary, familiar word for mountains. But here, Rawāsi. Not simply towering masses of stone and earth, but anchored fixtures, deliberately set, like stakes ...

Ayah 50:6-11
Surah Qaf, ayahs 6-11

These verses begin by Allah (swt) first mentioning the earth and sky, how it brings down rain, and how the rain nurtures plants providing fruits which then benefit man as a means of nutrients....

Ayah 50:6-11
Verses 6-11 contemplate on Allah’s creation.
Verse 6 mentions the sky and then verse 7 goes down to the earth. Verse 9 and 10 once again show this rhythmic connection where the water comes downwards from the sky and this makes the earth grow and thrive and trees soar upwards.
Allah ﷻ is gradually showing us how two things so far apart in distance on a human scale are actually so perfectly interlinked in a purposeful system. And then ayah 11 ment...
