Imagine seeing this after wondering if I am doing enough and whether all those working hours could have been used better. We begin the journey of knowing God through His Mercy. This is the way in which God introduces Himself to us—not with the names that indicate majesty and strength. Ayah 14:34, 28:71-73, 41:53, 16:12
We are truly ungrateful:
For our heart beats. For every single one.
For our senses which allow us to interact with the world and with each other.
For our digestive system which takes our food, extracts all the nutrients and energy and then gets rid of what we don't need.
For our circulatory system which keeps the blood pumping, speeding it up and slowing down whenever necessary.
For our immune system which is constantly on guard, vigilant...

Ayah 28:65-75
These verses are a reminder of Allah's might and power. The very natural phenomenon that dictates a huge part of our human physiology (night and day-circadian rhythm). Our power is in submitting to his power. Control is an illusion. The night and day doesn't necessarily, according to some scholars, refer to just times of the day but also to stages of our spirituality and times of hardship and ease. The 'will you not listen' and 'will you not see...
