Deep inside us there is a voice that tells us what's right from wrong. We may kid ourselves sometimes with some excuses to justify why we engaged in haram but we all know that they are nothing more than excuses. We know even when we say we didn't know... May Allah forgive us for our shortcomings and for our excuses, legitimate or otherwise. Amen.

Qur’an 75:2, 14–15 reveal a profound truth about the human soul.

Allah’s oath by the reproaching self shows that the soul already knows right from wrong and holds itself accountable. This is affirmed in verse 14: “Man is a witness against himself” he possesses inner awareness and insight into his own actions. As also stated in Quran 76:3

Yet verse 15 exposes human weakness: despite this clarity, a person still offers excuses, attempting to feign ignorance of what he knows to be wrong.

These verses teach that wrongdoing is not rooted in ignorance, but in self-deception. The soul knows; it is the ego that seeks escape.

May Allah strenghten our resolve.

These verses are very sobering. People will testify against their own souls despite their excuses.

It made me think what will our souls testify about us ?

Did we nourish them with divine love and light?

Did we strive to cleanse them with divine words, seeking forgiveness, giving from what were blessed with and engaging in deep prayer ?

Did we enable them to find their true purpose of drawing closer to The All Compassionate and serving humanity?

Did we enable them to love and give for God's sake, to be free of greed and the shackles of the ego?

Did we  allow our souls to really breathe and thrive the way God intended them to do ? 

What will our souls testify for us ?

Ya Allah make us among those whose souls testify that though we will never be able to do enough to show our gratitude for your countless blessings, that our souls loved you and loved the people who loved you and loved doing that which brings us closer to you.

Let our souls testify that we loved your prophet peace be upon him who was sent as a mercy to humanity, and let that love be a reason that we are reunited with him in Jannah along with all our loved ones.

Let our souls testify that though this world had its fair share of trials, grief and loss, we strived to find triumphs, joy and gain through seeking closeness to you.

Ameen.

Ramadan is so valuable because it's an opportunity to set things right. Before its too late. Have you ever thought about death, finally meeting Allah?

Thats it, the test is over. It's time to make the tally. No going back. Game over.

You have a chance, right now, with your breath, to make a change. Take your shahada, renew your intention and set along the path.

Lest you become a witness against yourself..

Not one chance but an indefinite amount of chances. Allah's mercy encompasses all. The most wretched is the one who turns away. Everything I need to be successful is right there. Right within grasp. If I choose to be a loser it'd be my loss. 
Al Mujeeb Allah is the Ever Responsive 
Al Samee Allah is All Hearing
Al Basit Allah is the One who continually provides and blesses. 
Al Hadee The One who Guides 
At Tawab the One who Accepts Repentance 
Ar Rahman the Entirely Merciful.
Ar Raheem the Especially Merciful 
Allah we ask You to allow us to enter Ferdaws from Al Jannah. Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala we ask You that we become the best version of ourselves and we are not grieved on the Day of Judgement.  Dunia isn't worth. We know that. We believe in Your Messenger salla Allahu alayhi wa salam and the Noble Book, Al Quran al Kareem. 
Ya Rub please let that belief become strong within us.
 Let us have the certainty of faith of that the people of truth, like the boy of Surat al Buruj had, or the ex-magicians of the Pharaoh who believed in Musa A., or AbuBaker and Belal Allah be pleased with them.
 Ya Rub forgive us and grant us true faith that stays with us and let us meet You with it and be pleased with us. Ameen.
