وكلهم اتيه يوم القيامة فردا

وَكُلُّهُمْ ءَاتِيهِ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ فَرْدًا

I hope you all are in the best state of health and faith, and I pray to Allah to keep you all in His protection and safety. Ameen!

Parah: 16
There was a day when my reflections got pending due to my health, and I was praying to Allah that it is only through His tawfeeq that all tasks are completed, so may He also help me complete my pending reflections. Then I had to take out time again and again, but with Allah’s help He granted me success, Alhamdulillah!
And today is the day when I eagerly wait for this time, wondering when the time for tadabbur will come so that I can sit peacefully and do this work with full attention. At this time my family members are usually busy with some other commitments, so this time becomes specially available for Allah for me, Alhamdulillah! This too became possible only with Allah’s help and tawfeeq.
Surah Maryam, Ayat no. 95
Meaning of the Ayah:
“And all of them will come to Allah alone on the Day of Resurrection.”
Brief background of the Ayah:
Before this ayah in Surah Maryam, there is a mention of those people who used to say that Allah has taken a son. Allah strongly rejected this statement and clarified that all creation are servants of Allah, and on the Day of Judgment everyone will appear before Him alone in the position of a servant.
Today when I was revising the translation of the 16th Parah, like everyday I received many reminders, Alhamdulillah, but when I reached this ayah I paused for a moment. In this ayah, that reality is mentioned from which a human being tries to run away. No matter how much a person emphasizes the importance of “me time”, when he is actually left alone his survival in this world becomes difficult.
In the modern era, a person wants to be alone so that he can give more time to his “piece of heart”, meaning the mobile phone (my mentor gives the example of the phone as a piece of the heart, because without it we do not like to spend even a single moment). But if someone is truly left alone, he begins to suffer from anxiety and depression. Yet the reality is that tomorrow on the Day of Gathering, a human being will indeed be alone. Allahu Akbar!
When I started thinking about this, a great sense of fear came over me. Because today in this world, whether we are happy or sad, we look for the support of people. But tomorrow we will have to face the reality alone. There, the only support will be Allah’s Being, and then our book of deeds, by looking at which it will be decided which category a person belongs to. May Allah include us among the people of Illiyeen. Ameen.
For me, the practical lesson from this ayah is that when all the supports of this world — relatives, friends, power and status — are temporary, then one should fulfill one’s responsibilities related to them, but instead of relying on them, strengthen one’s relationship with Allah so that the ability to perform righteous deeds may become easily available. Because whoever firmly holds on to the rope of Allah has indeed obtained the strongest support.
May Allah grant us the ability to beautify our book of deeds and include us among His humble servants. Ameen! 🤲

Surat Maryam is a chapter filled with God's compassion and mention of His name Arrahman, The Most Compassionate, The Bestower of Mercy multiple times. In verse 95 after an important reminder about returning to Allah alone which can be worrisome, God immediately comforts us by promising that those who believe and do good will be granted genuine love from Him and genuine love among one another.  This is a genuine love that heals and uplifts. 

So, the fear of being alone on that day, is comforted by this genuine love of being with those who believe and do good. This love is based on the love of God among people is considered so worthy that it's deserving of being shaded on that day of returning to Allah by His shade.  So don't fear being alone. God's genuine love and the love of others for His sake will accompany you every step of the way with His permission.
