Have You Found Allah’s Invitation Letter Yet?

This isn’t about waking up at 3 a.m. and praying.
Neither is it about fasting a lot.

It’s about turning back.

Because maybe… just maybe… the reason Allah placed so many U-turns in your life was never to break you—

But so you could pause. 
Reflect.
And find your way back.

And guess who is waiting for you at the destination?

The One who placed the U-turn so you could find Him.
The One who let you wander… only so you could find your way back to Him.

“Did He not find you unguided, then guide you?” (93:7)

Sometimes…

the most beautiful part about returning is realizing:

He found me first.

Before I turned back.
Before I made duʿā’.
Before I even realized how far I had gone.

He saw the mistakes.
The moments of heedlessness.
The times you drifted.

And still—

He did not punish you in your misguidance.

He did not leave you there.

Instead, with forbearance and mercy… He slowly, yet beautifully, brought you back.

Think about it.

The One who found you first…

was watching over you all along.

And in so many moments—if we just change our perspective—we begin to find His invitation letters.

That death… perhaps it came so you would turn back.

That denial… perhaps it came so you could find humility again.

That word that shattered your heart… perhaps it came so you could run to Ar-Raḥmān for comfort.

That closed door… perhaps it was only redirecting you to one better for your dīn.

The list goes on and on.

What felt like pain…

may have been an invitation all along.

And so the question remains:

Have we found His invitation letter yet?

“And He found you lost and guided [you].” (Qur’an 93:7)

This ayah speaks to those quiet moments when you feel unsure about life when you don’t know what to do next, or you feel disconnected and searching for meaning. Being “lost” doesn’t always mean completely astray; sometimes it’s just feeling confused, overwhelmed, or stuck.

Allah reminds us that guidance didn’t come from our own strength alone it was a gift. Think about the times you found clarity after confusion, or peace after feeling anxious. Those moments didn’t happen by accident; they were part of Allah guiding you step by step.

This ayah also gives comfort: if Allah guided you before, He can guide you again. So even when you feel lost right now, you’re not abandoned you’re still on a path where guidance can find you again.

And He found you lost and guided [you],

Lost in slumber and showing up again for the other day, lost in daily routine and in between standing firm for Sujood, lost in worldly ambitious and being grateful for every small blessing.  lost in mobile screen and reflecting on thoughtful post, lost in finding identity and resisting for your muslim identity in unknown, lost in sins and repenting it through humility, lost in past regrets and putting trust in his plan , lost in future worries and relying on his divine pen, lost in time and observing patience that it will end, and lately we might have lost in all  months but Allah the most merciful to guide us through the month of Ramadan by enlightening our soul through his mercy.
Isn't it beautiful!  Every time we lost and ultimately Allah SWT led us in every situation , in every location and in every moment.

A believer should be in between the state hope and humbleness; Most people including my own self used to look at this ayah as an ayah to show gratitude which seems and sounds fair but has anyone appreciated light unless there was darkness? Likewise understanding that you were in a state of heedlessness wil make you realise the true essence of guidance. 

I have been struggling a lot with being grateful because i overlooked the fact that i am not completely humble enough to appreciate what I'm blessed with which somewhere in my mind looked like me being arrogant for being on the right path. Now it's the month of Rajab and Ramadan is near so I've 2 things that i need to change in myself; 
1. Being grateful for whatever happens in life and letting my heart accept the way Allah is leading me through. 
2. Accepting myself to be imperfect by not diverting my efforts everywhere.

As for the first point everyone might understand the reason behind it and the second point is because most of the time i tried to hold onto everything in life - trends, societal norms and standards, cuture and the so called ethics and innovation; all of which made me lose my taqwa at a certain point which seemed like a small slip but realising that the whole point of me being misguided started from that simple small slip. Understanding that misguidance isn't always in a form of heavy sin but sometimes it's in the illusion of trying to be perfect in everything  which eventually makes you lose your focus from the bright path of guidance.

Before i end this here, I've 2 obvious questions
1. Have you found what was the point that slips you into misguidance again and again or are you still considering that your efforts should only be focused on being perfect in everything in the world even if it means compromising the right path or equalising it with the wrong one? 
2. Are you grateful enough for the guidance Allah is leading you through or are you still fighting with it?

You would have been watching movies rather than sitting in prayer mat...

You would have been singing all the time, rather than reciting Quran... 

You would have been hurting your mom with your harsh tongue rather than seeking her pleasure... 

You would have been gossiping, backbiting rather than trying hard to avoid it...

You would have been seeking people's attention, people's appreciation, people's love rather than seeking your Creator...

You would have been in the dirty places rather than being with those who remember Allah...
You would have been lost...
You would have been completely completely lost in Darkness... 
Yes, you would have been, Had Allah not guided you.
You know that none of the things that you are doing are perfect.  You know you Fail everyday. You know.....but you could have been the worst. 
You Were. 
But Allah's plan was different.
 He guided that completely lost girl.

May Allah keep us firm on His path and never let us return to darkness after bringing us into light. Ameen. Keep sharing reflections like this—they truly touch hearts.



SOMEWHERE BETWEEN THEN AND NOW 

And He found you lost and guided [you],

long hair became hijab, tight dresses became abayas, music became Quran, crying became praying, going out became going to the masjid, buying new clothes became giving to charity, disrespecting became distancing, somewhere inbetween she was lost and He guided. Alhamdulillah!

It is He who made the earth tame for you – so walk among its slopes and eat of His provision – and to Him is the resurrection.


Today this ayah flashed before my eyes when I took my seat  in the  van  after crossing roads , walking past different people ,  through hustle and bustle , making  way to reach my destination safely. 

'Thanks God ! I made it without any accident'
' It is He who made the earth tame for you , so walk among its slopes'    
This made me think how He inspires me to cross roads ,making through all the rush  is truly amazing. 

While embarking this journey towards Allah. Many times I feel nothingness. Perhaps , to me only what I do would determine the end of this journey, I overlook how  His mercy encompasses me, How He tames  my fears and strengthens me.

 It made me think , 'Will  the one who guides me on  the roads, inspiring me to walk cautiously ,protecting me from accidents can ever leave me? Leave my confusions unanswered? Leave my  heart restless.
Certainly He will not.
So what comes to my part? 

I should keep myself going. Everyday I know there will be terrible traffic outside ,yet I never thought even once  to quit because I know the level of comfort  that comes being  finally  in my home after a tiring day.  
Similarly,
We are embarking this journey,
Every day we struggle,
Sometimes we be patiently enduring,
And sometimes we be  messed up ,
But having the certainty of gaining Allah's pleasure shall  wipe our tears and energize   our spirits.

The Prophet (pbuh) was saddened prior to the revelation of Surah Ad-Duha because of the ridicule he faced at the hands of Quraish who claimed that 'the devil had finally left him' after days passed without revelation from Allah. Allah revealed Surah Ad-Duha to reaffirm that Allah had not abandoned him. 

'Did He not find you unguided then guide you?' is an essential part of that reassurement. The Prophet (pbuh) had a life of becoming an orphan living without a father, then losing his mother at an early age, and then his grandfather. He was ridiculed, slandered, attacked after prophethood but it was by Allah's will that he would end up in a predicament of honor, a predicament of full submission, and a predicament of victory for Islam in multitudes. 

Allah is saying that He has already displayed He has taken care of him in the past, so there isn't a need to prove such a thing now. Similarly in our own lives, Allah has shown that He is our Protector and our Provider despite our waywardness. Allah does not need to prove anything to us, rather we have all to prove to Him. He found us lost and He guided us when we were in states of confusion and despair. It was only through Him that we found ease. 

It is not Allah who is unreliable, rather we are not reliant enough on Allah.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Especially Merciful,

And what is the greatest loss of all? 

And the greatest sadness of life is that you didn’t recognise His love upon you, you didn’t contemplate His blessings and that all the affairs which you encountered were to make you come closer and closer to Him. 

That you did not humble yourself in gratitude and nor did you look back and contemplate how He saved you from disaster over disaster. Neither did you look back, to see He kept shaping you and transforming you into something you were not before. 

Everyone else had to leave you but Him. The greatest loss is that you walked through life not getting to know Him and His immense love for you. Greater than that of even your mother and you didn’t go through life loving Him back and longing to meet Him. Longing to meet the One whom there cannot be any equal to, for every blessing and good comes from Him. 

Surely this is the greatest loss of all. So look back and remember His favours upon you, you will find reason to smile and continue forward. It is ok to be anxious, it is ok to cry but it is a loss to lose hope. 

Surah Ad Duhaa always makes me contemplate that Allah is the most kindest, most caring, most appreciative, most patient, most understanding and all knowing and How Merciful and gentle He is upon his anxious and vulnerable slaves.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Especially Merciful,

Read each ayah slowly, and contemplate each ayah carefully particularly when you are at a loss and each ayah will bring you an immeasurable amount of comfort and guidance.

Whatever is troubling you, have you noticed it troubles you even more so in the night, when you awake in the morning you feel much lighter even though things might remain the same. Why does the morning bring a sense of calm and focus? Surely all of this is the mercy of Allah!

You are under the care always of none other than Allah the Most Merciful, the Most compassionate even though you might feel alone. Remembering this allows you to feel not only better but also deeply loved. Allah is All Seeing and He sees you and He hears you. He is navigating you always in the best and right direction. Surely won’t you go to Him? 

Do not be consumed by your worries and difficulties even these have to end and whatever is troubling you could be the means of your paradise. Perhaps, the patience that you exercise will cause you by His mercy to enter paradise, the place that is everlasting and beyond our comprehension, free from every kind of worry. He wants you there. Perhaps all the difficulties life throws is to cause you to be focused towards the next!

And if you feel unable to have a positive outlook on life, then look back at your life, and see how Allah fixed and took you out from previous difficulties, or caused you to learn from mistakes, setbacks or allowed you to thrive despite your vulnerabilities - can you see this? Surely, this should calm your heart and understand that He has always been with you and will always be with you. 


Remain always humble in life and look at those who have much less than us. Humility causes honour and grace. Whereas arrogance causes even the most blessed their downfall and destruction.

And during this short and fleeting life, keep praising your Lord and keep reflecting about all tbe favours He has bestowed upon you, and if you find this difficult at times, say them aloud and talk to Your Lord. The heart will surely find peace and happiness when it is grateful to Allah. 

You can lead a much happier life knowing the following:

You are always under the observance of Your Lord,
You are on a journey of growth and it is often hardships that allow you to grow and become more resilient and steadfast. Allah has taken you out of difficulties in the past and He will do so again. Be humble, humility gives you clarity and lower yourself in front of the Almighty realising His immense love and mercy. 

You will get through this and He loves you very very much!
