Allah schiude il seme e il nocciolo: dal morto trae il vivo e dal vivo il morto 1 . Così è Allah. Come potete allontanarvi da Lui?

We usually don't think much about a seed after putting it into the soil.

We bury it, cover it, and walk away.

From the outside, it looks like nothing is happening. But beneath the soil, something has already begun.

The Qur’an says:

“Indeed, Allah is the One who splits the seed and the date-stone…”
— Qur’an 6:95

I find something deeply comforting in this.

We often measure progress by what ...

While tending to my plants today, I made an unexpected discovery. Last year, my favorite money plant had withered away. Assuming it was gone, I placed aloe vera in its spot, giving space to new growth. Over time, I forgot about the money plant altogether. But today, as I was cleaning, I noticed a small seedling of the same money plant growing back, surrounded by aloe vera.

This moment struck me deeply. It reminded me that Allah not only restores...

The Split

The seed packet was old and the marked 'sow by' date had long passed, making me doubt if the contents were viable. Plus, the packet had been accidentally left out in the rain one afternoon... Still hopeful, I pressed the peas into the wet soil. Hard as teeth, yet wrinkled like an old leather bag, I marvelled at the possibility of fresh life emerging from a seemingly unlikely source.

I kept the pots warm, and watered them regularly. A ...

A friend shared the insightful analogy of a seed being squeezed by the dark soil so it can split and bloom in the light. And it reminded me of this verse - Allah will bring light from the darkness. That darkness serves as a preparation to be able to take in the light.

Just like a caterpillar is cocooned in the dark before it transforms into a butterfly and just like a fetus is protected in layer upon layer in darkness in a mother's womb before...

Rain is said to be a metaphor for divine revelation. The way Allah gives life to the earth after its death corresponds to a heart being touched by Quran.
But in our times what are the only things seem not to react to the rain? Rock solid buildings.
The heart of human being capable of flourishing through Qur'an can be like concrete buildings. The more it follows its desires and wills...the more it loses its fertility.
A hard heart may not be ...

One peculiar aspect I really like about the Qur’an is that it does not simply ask us to believe; it asks us to look, think, reflect.

Look around.

Look at the skies. The heavens. The precision of the universe. The perfection of the earth that allows life to flourish.

Look at what reaps when one is patient. Not simply the seeds, but also the blessings.

The mercy.

The justice that comes when you surrender to Him.

Think.

Reflect.

And perhaps ...

Those same date pits that we often throw away during Ramadan can come to life before our very eyes. Subhaana Allāh, a beautiful reminder of Allah’s power and creation.

More thoughts regarding We are '#qawm-ya'lamon' 'قوم يعلمون'#.

1- How he brings out what is alive life from the dead (Like how seeds work, and the human conception process).
2- How he brings out what's dead form what's alive (There are many possible examples of this, what reflections can you think of? comment your thoughts below)
3- that we have a perfect day and night cycle (which exists due to the incredibly unlikely event of a planet hitting...
