قل انما انذركم بالوحي ولا يسمع الصم الدعاء اذا ما ينذرون ٤٥
قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أُنذِرُكُم بِٱلْوَحْىِ ۚ وَلَا يَسْمَعُ ٱلصُّمُّ ٱلدُّعَآءَ إِذَا مَا يُنذَرُونَ ٤٥

يَسۡمَعُ

Di’: «Non faccio altro che avvertirvi con la Rivelazione». Ma i sordi non odono il richiamo quando li si avverte.

yasmaʿu ṣ-ṣummu
“The deaf will not hear”
This is a form I verb conjugated for the spiritually deaf people themselves.
تُسۡمِعُ الصُّمَّ

“You will not make the deaf hear”
This is a form IV verb addressed to the Prophet (ﷺ).
