There's something about Allah addressing us directly that ' your Lord is All Forgiving , Full of Mercy' that should just pull our hearts to Him. 

How can we hear verses like this , where Allah acknowledges us and addresses us directly and yet we don't fix our ways or we forget Him often or we don't make enough Dua?

يا مقلب القلوب ثبت قلوبنا على دينك

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Especially Merciful,

Suratul Kahf. Almost half way through the Surah these are the blessed ayats we find. Each time, I come to these ayats I pause. A long pause. 

We need the Qur’an.  It is the greatest treasure left behind for mankind revealed through at times the blessed Angel Jibreel AS to our beloved Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. You and I have been blessed to turn it’s pages, marvel at it’s wonders, feel tranquility through it’s recitation, cry at our weakness and never ever give up hope in the mercy of Allah. 

Indeed the Qur’an unchanged is the mercy of Allah, every letter carries reward, every ayah is a miracle. So, the days when shaytaan is no longer locked up, and it feels as though there seems no protection in the everyday world. But there is a communication between you and your Lord, listen attentively and endeavour to hold onto the rope of Allah with the weaknesses we have and ask Him to turn those weaknesses into faith, into tawwakul, into appreciation, love and devotion. You will gain a protection like no other, a guidance like no other and the way to increase your God consciousness. Read because you want to draw close to Him, ponder because He is above everything, don’t let go because nothing else can lead to the truth the way the Qur’an does, 

As my little daughter tells me always “The Qur’an is roadmap to jannah” , it is. As Ramadan went by so quickly, this life will pass ever so quickly. May we find a permanent Eid when our souls go back to Al Khaliq and we hold onto the Qur’an to our very end and we are raised through it’s verses and it changed our hearts to pure souls.

God’s gift of the Qur’an sits on your shelf, in your lap, next to you. Hold on, reflect to act upon profound changes will
come if we are sincere. Bithnillah. 

I love the following Hadith:

Abu Shurayh reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, came out to them one day, saying, “Rejoice! Do you not witness that there is no God but Allah, and I am the Messenger of Allah?” They said yes. The Prophet said, “Verily, this Quran is a rope. One end is in the hand of Allah, and the other end is in your hands. Hold fast to it, for you will never be led astray or ruined ever again.”

Ṣaḥīḥ Ibn Ḥibbān 122

Thus, can a person really afford to let go when Allah has opened the pages for you to continue until your end?

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Especially Merciful, 

Imagine if someone gave you the house of your dreams would you turn it down?

Imagine if you met the most pious and kind person to marry  would you reject them?

Imagine if someone offered you the job that you so badly wanted? Would you reject it upon it being offered to you? 

Imagine if you had the number of children you wanted and how many girls or boys you wished? Would you not be happy? 

Imagine you had the wealth you needed to travel as much as you would like, would you reject it?

Imagine if you could have the health and stamina to work and do whatever you enjoy, would you not be happy?

Imagine having the greatest wealth in your hands, would you throw it away? Would you throw all of the above away? No, we wouldn’t, for it would be foolish!

Yet, we  have been given the greatest gift of all, we have been given the words of the Lord of the worlds, the Creator of each and all. With each letter there is reward, with every ayah there is direction, with the chapters of the Qur’an there are deep lessons and meaning, within the Juz there are countless of warnings and His love, within the entire the Qur’an there are miracles that neither any messenger or human could write with their own hands. There is confirmation of the previous scriptures, previous nations and science and a wonderment and explanation of our origin and where will we go. There is meaning and explanation of our purpose. 

It’s sometimes difficult to follow, but by following and acting upon the Qur’an you receive further Guidance, and by letting go of the greatest gift of all, you become the most sorrowful person. Ask from Allah His help and to make the Qur’an our companion, our relief,  the  spring of our hearts and a companion for this world and the next. 

The religion requires self restraint at times, but just like the one who is fasting, he comes to celebrate Eid after completion. When the soul will exit the world, it will rejoice that it implemented the words of its Lord.
