فَزَعٍ يَوْمَئِذٍ
fazaʿin yawmaʾidhin
“being terrified that Day”
In this reading, the adverb of time modifies the verbal noun.
فَزَعِ يَوْمَئِذٍ
fazaʿi yawmaʾidhin
فَزَعِ يَوْمِئِذٍ
fazaʿi yawmiʾidhin
“the terror of that Day”
In these readings, the verbal noun is annexed to the adverb of time, with two linguistic options for the latter in the genitive.

Explication

These readings convey the same meaning with slightly different grammar [Makki].

He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
