Reflexion sur le cœur et l’ouïe

Pas une journée ni une nuit d’été ne passe sans que mon œil, mon oreille, ma
langue ou mes membres ne ressentent les signes d’Allah, m’amenant à des
réflexions et méditations. Parfois, elles portent sur le même thème (le soleil, la
chaleur, la patience...), mais à un détail près, elles ciblent des dimensions
différentes.

Lorsque l’on se pose sur un signe d’Allah, ouvrant son cœur, ses membres, son
âme, appréciant le silence d’un moment ou d’une scène, cela nous pousse à
réfléchir.

J’aimerais partager une réflexion que j’ai eue concernant le Qur’an et son
écoute. L’écoute du Qur’an agit sur le cœur : elle l’atteint ou non, selon l’opacité
de ce qui le recouvre, comme péchés ou maladies.

Parmi les effets d’une récitation, tant du point de vue de l’auditeur que du
lecteur, on retrouve l’élargissement de la poitrine, l’apaisement du cœur, l’esprit
qui navigue dans des contrées plus hautes, le monde qui se coupe, la vie qui se
prolonge… Il s’agit d’une expérience à part.

Une de mes expérience personnelle de l’écoute consiste au fait que je tende
l’oreille à la récitation et que j’essaie d’entendre les règles du tajwid, d’affiner mes
sens, dans le but de mieux comprendre et de me corriger.

Mais je me suis rendue compte qu’à certains moments, je n’écoute pas cette
parole divine, ni avec mes membres, ni avec mon cœur, mais avec un mur qui
fait obstacle. Comme un voile qui viendrait empêcher la pénétration (tant
physique que métaphysique) du Qur’an. J’ai alors compris qu’un effort
physique et psychique devait être fait afin de pouvoir accueillir le Qur’an : créer
une connexion et s’ouvrir dans tous les aspects.

Parfois, en tant que professeur ou personne qui corrige la récitation de
quelqu’un, on entend certaines choses que d’autres n’entendent pas. Et cela
donne un sentiment particulier, presque celui d’avoir été choisi pour percevoir
ces subtilités.

Non pas dans une logique d’égo ou de supériorité, mais plutôt comme une
prise de conscience de la finesse de l’écoute, et de ce que cela demande
comme précision.

Dans la récitation du Qur’an, il y a des choses que l’on entend qui relèvent du
détail : la ghounnah, l’itbaq, l’ikhfa… des sons et des placements qu’il faut
savoir écouter et surtout percevoir.

C’est comme si, à travers le tajwid, on redécouvrait son propre corps. On
pousse ainsi nos capacités à l’extrême : notre ouïe, notre bouche, notre
souffle... On apprend à placer notre langue, nos lèvres, notre gorge… à
reconnaître à quel niveau on se situe.

C’est une forme de maîtrise, un certain niveau qu’on n’aurait pas atteint
autrement. Être apprenant du Qur’an implique un dépassement de soi,
dans ses capacités et dans ce qu’Allah nous a accordé comme sens et ressources.

Depuis lors, j’ai pris conscience du don qu’Allah a placé dans mon ouïe et ma
vue. Et je ne me contente plus de tendre l’oreille quand j’écoute, plutot, je les
ouvre et les fais 'travailler'

C’est comme si j’actionnais un levier, demandant la permission à Allah
d’exploiter au maximum mes ressources auditives et visuelles quand je suis
face à une personne qui me récite.

J’appelle ça l’ouverture.

Our hearts are like mirrors: when the mirror is clean, it reflects light clearly. For the Qur'an to have an effect on our hearts, we need hearts that are pure, sincere, and dedicated to Islam. This purity requires constant reflection and awareness—embodying the principle of Ihsan, where we worship Allah as though we see Him, knowing that even if we cannot see Him, He certainly sees us. This consciousness must permeate our every action and thought, ensuring our hearts remain receptive to divine guidance.

To benefit from the Quran, three conditions must be fulfilled:

1. The source itself must contain guidance, and the Quran certainly does.

2. The seeker must have a receptive heart or the willingness to listen attentively.

3. There must be no distraction or barrier; one must be fully present.

This is beautifully expressed in the verse:

“Surely in this is a reminder for whoever has a ˹mindful˺ heart and lends an attentive ear. ” (Quran 50:37)

When the Quran is recited or listened to with focus and the awareness that Allah is speaking to us through His Messenger, it has the power to transform lives. Without these conditions, recitation remains mere sound without impact.

The previous nations mentioned in verses 12-15 all went against Allah (swt), from committing shirk to zina, refusing to heed to the guidance provided by various messengers of Allah (swt), and thus resulting in the termination of these nations via Allah (swt)'s wrath. Similarly, when looking at the story of Nuh (as), His people worshiped idols, a form of shirk, and when Allah (swt) sent Nuh (as) to guide them, they paid no heed to His guidance and thus suffered a terrible flood. 

Allah (swt) then reminds us Muslims in verse 37 that He (swt) is Al-Shaheed, the ever present, and that He (swt) is reminding us to pay heed to the mistakes made by those nations that came before us, so that we as an Ummah may lead a life rid of such transgressions. 

Given the present state of the Duniya, this reminder is imperative to the Ummah, as many of the transgressions seen within those nations are gaining popularity within the modern world. Thus, the Ummmah should seek refuge from fitnah via tools such as Dua, Dhikr, Tazkiya al-Nafs, etc.... to keep Allah (swt) alive in his/her heart so that they may refrain from falling into fitnah, inshallah. 

May Allah (swt) keep us steadfast and protect us from the fitnah that is rife in this modern world, ameen.

How beautifully Allah is treating us like a small baby who is taking their baby steps to learn.The world we live is the divine manifestation of the magnificence,glory,perfection, might,power,mercy,beauty etc of our LORD.The big gallery full of mysteries and events is for us to enjoy,contemplate and to know our RABB more deeply. It can raise our emaan,reignite our relationship with our Rabb and make it an act of remembrance. 


Subhanallah....it is with ultimate love that Allah is pointing us towards the sky, stars ,moon ,sun ,trees, mountains ,river ,sea different animals and plants ,flies,the alteration of day and night etc .through quran. Allah is reminding us to look to the nature and appreciate these marvels even if we are so accustomed to it.We have to shake off these familiarities from our head and should observe and see the world with wonder like a baby watching it for the first time.When we are out in nature, all the senses get activated. We get immersed in something bigger than ourselves, rather than focusing narrowly. We can know our RABB more when in the amidst of nature.Thus we can be aware/feel/mindful of the divine touch in everything around us.


Tips to practise mindfulnness


**for anything and everything start with asking allahs help.

** make dua for us to have a mindful heart.

** Remove all distracting thoughts by engaging more in the remembrance of Allah.It helps to open our heart for
 good understanding and to have deeper connection with the situation..

** being fully present and attentive help us to experience even small things very meaningfully.

'' Recitation and reflection upon quran,contemplation upon Allahs names and attributes,and by being in nature allows our senses(seeing,hearing,touching,tasting)to get engaged and we can practice mindfulnness...it is for those with a mindful heart that the reminders will be useful.''

In this fast paced world we barely take the time to stop,stare and reflect at our surroundings.Let us all practice mindfulness of Allah's creations and be conscious of Allah.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْهُدَى وَالتُّقَى وَالْعَفَافَ وَالْغِنَى

Allahumma Inni As’alukal-Huda Wat-Tuqa Wal ‘Afaafa Wal Ghina

O Allah. I beg of You guidance, piety, chastity and independence (from your creation).Aameen
