Que ceux qui gardent avec avarice ce qu’Allah leur donne par Sa grâce ne comptent point cela comme bon pour eux. Au contraire, c’est mauvais pour eux: au Jour de la Résurrection, on leur attachera autour du cou de qu’ils ont gardé avec avarice. C’est Allah qui a l’héritage des cieux et de la terre. Et Allah est Parfaitement Connaisseur de ce que vous faites. 1

ولَا يَحْسَبَنَّ
wa-lā yaḥsabanna
وَلَا يَحْسِبَنَّ
wa-lā yaḥsibanna
“Those who withhold…should not think that it is good for them”
These two readings have a third-person forbidding verb, with alladhīna yabkhalūna as its subject. It is also possible to read this to mean ‘The Prophet (ﷺ) should not think…’ so it amounts to the same as the other reading.
وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ
wa-lā taḥsabanna
“Do not think that (the miserliness of) those who withhold…is good for them.”
This is a forbidding verb addressed in the second person to the Prophet (ﷺ).

Explication

These readings provide complementary meanings [Makki].

He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
