وما امروا الا ليعبدوا الله مخلصين له الدين حنفاء ويقيموا الصلاة ويؤتوا الزكاة وذلك دين القيمة

وَمَآ أُمِرُوٓا۟ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ حُنَفَآءَ وَيُقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَيُؤْتُوا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ دِينُ ٱلْقَيِّمَةِ

Pourquoi Allah cite la salat et la zakat pour désigner la religion de droiture?

L’imam ar Razi fait une métaphore à ce sujet:

L’âme savante sans puissance est comme l’impotent,
et l’âme puissante sans science est comme le fou. 
Si la science et la puissance se réunissent, alors l’âme est décrite comme étant complète. 

La salat est à la religion ce que la science est à l’âme,
la zakat est à la religion ce que la puissance est à l’âme.
Si la salat et la zakat se réunissent, alors la religion est décrite comme étant droite (din al qaiyyma).

C’est une belle métaphore au sujet de la religion parfaite, celle qui t’impose de penser à toi-même (salat) et de penser aux autres (zakat). C’est la religion de l’équilibre qui demande à l’homme d’agir en fonction de sa nature et réalité: un animal doué de raison et social destiné à vivre en société.

La voie droite, par définition, est équilibrée; elle ne penche vers aucun extrême: ni vers un altruisme nous amenant à délaisser notre droit, ni vers un égoïsme nous amenant à délaisser le droit d’autrui.

Louanges à Allah pour le bienfait qu’est l’islam, bienfait pour l’humain et pour la société.

Sincerity is what turns action into worship, and leadership into something safe for the soul. When your heart aims at Allah, your effort stays steady even without applause, and the smallest hidden deed can outweigh what looks impressive to people, because Allah weighs the intention that no one else can see.

Islamic content creators.
I have come to observe that Islamic content creators are actually good motivators, mā shāʾ Allāh.
Wake up for tahajjud. Do istighfār. Fast. Do dhikr walks. Be disciplined. But they rarely talk about how hard it is to wake up at 4 a.m. when you slept at 1 a.m. No qaylūlah (the sunnah  afternoon sleep),because you either have work, or a baby, or a mind that refuses to rest. How do you do 1000 istighfār simply because a certain content creator said that by 1000 their duʿāʾ was answered when you are barely at 200 and your brain is already busy wondering whether you locked the front door, turned off the stove, or said the wrong thing earlier that day?

Dhikr walks? Some days it is just a walk without dhikr, because something heavy is sitting on your chest. As much as you repeat ṣabr yā nafs, Allāh is with me, the fear of the unknown still finds a quiet corner in your heart.
What I truly think is that what matters is quality, not quantity.
You can do 500 istighfār only do it with khushūʿ. You cannot force presence. Just whisper whenever you remember, accepting that a human is imperfect. It does not matter whether you count it or not. You cannot wake up for tahajjud, but you can pray the sunnah before or after the farḍ prayers and that still counts.
Allāh may descend to the lowest heaven to answer the creation’s duʿāʾ during the last hour of the night, but it is also Allāh who said, He is closer to us than our jugular vein. So  whisper that duʿāʾ like your life depends on it because honestly, it probably does no matter the time of the day or night.
You are busy? What about Friday evening? Still busy? What about when it rains? It is summer, the days are long, and the nights are short? Whisper it during sujūd.
Do what you can do best.
You can fast? Fast Mondays and Thursdays, and the white days. You can wake up for tahajjud? Then wake up and talk to Allāh when the world is asleep. You are so exhausted that when you sleep, you sleep like a log? No worries, whenever you pray the farḍ, add the sunnah that comes with it.
You want to do dhikr? It does not matter if you reach 1000. Do it when your heart feels heavy, guilty, in need of returning.
You are good at charity? Then go for it.

Find one thing that is sincerely rewardful and hold onto it. Do it as much as you can.
Because while content creators may make worship look aesthetic, real life is rarely that neat. You may blame yourself for not doing what other Muslims do, but what matters to Allāh is not comparison, it is sincerity.
This is for whoever feels like they are not doing enough.

Well i know and i may understand that it hurts and it is okay to feel the emotions i am not going to tell you not to cry. But these times around whenever you feel the need to be loved call out to  Allah by saying Yaa Wadud. It will help maybe not today maybe not tomorrow but someday that Allah knows, He will bless you with people who love you for you. May Allah continue to give you strength to watch this.

I find it interesting how the word 'hanīf' used to describe Ibrahim (as) contains the meaning of 'inclination towards the truth'. One can make a parallel to the concept of fitrah and how Allah has not only revealed Islam as the True religion, but also created man with a natural inclination towards the truth. It is a manifestation of His justice as Islam is justice—to society, to the community and to our own selves. Our soul is able to reach stages where it strives towards the Straight Path and reproaches itself for any wrongdoings against its Lord—while the souls tarnished by the stains of sin are unable to even recognise their errors. Deaf, dumb and blind—it is through our own denial of the Path (ملة ابراهيم) and through the injustice we do towards our very selves that the truth is hidden from us. Allah is Just and He has even put our souls at our disposal in the quest for truth and eternal pleasure. Yet we cloud our senses with sin and dull the magnificent faculties that Allah has granted us, available to those guided by sincerity. 

I watched a lecture by Dr Haifaa Younis where she said that an easy way to know if we are sincere when we do things for people is to observe how we react when people don't praise us. For example, if we cook food for people and they do not praise it or complement our cooking, and that makes us upset, then we were not sincere. It should be that we cooked the food to please Allah, so whether they complement us or not, it doesn't effect how we feel because we did that for Allah only, and we are content because our reward is with Him.

One thing I have been trying to work on is the quality of my deeds, to perform deeds with ihsan (excellence). One thing we tend to forget is that we should not forget Allah is watching us in literally everything we do. The way you act when you are a guest in somebody's house, the way you act when you have guests in your house, the way in which you talk to people, are you gentle or obnoxious?  
We forget that these little everyday things matter so much.

Sometimes, we feel overwhelmed because there is so much we want to do, but we struggle to do it all. But we have to remember that with Allah, you can make anything an act of worship if you intend to please Allah. It can be as simple as helping your parents understand what's written on a letter, or helping your sibling with their homework so your parents don't have to worry about it.

I agree that there a difference between genuine appreciation and valuing compliments too much. This is where we need to question our sincerity.

I was listening to a sheikh talk about his conversion to Islam and he mentioned that he never believed in the trinity as a Christian because it didn't make sense to him since none of the prophets mentioned in the Bible (i.e. Musa, Ibrahim) preached anything other than monotheism. 

It was the most obvious fact, but still one that I had never thought of. 
When falsehood is so clear, how has Shaitan convinced so many People of the Book to commit shirk? May Allah protect us.

Sakinah Honesty​ Subhanallah, truly Allah only guides whom He wills. As Allah has mentioned in the Quran, “And even if they were to see every sign, they still would not believe in them. If they see the Right Path, they will not take it. But if they see a crooked path, they will follow it. This is because they denied Our signs and were heedless of them.” (7:146) 

In the Name of Allah, the most Gracious, the Most Kind,

Everything changes, cultures, language, cuisine, weather (climate), people, norms and values apart from one thing; The Qur’an. 

In a time of uncertainty, ambiguity, very quick change there is something that stands as a beacon of light, a sanctuary, greater than the welcomed light for the lost sailor in the night that he sees coming from a lighthouse. For us in this societal darkness it is the Qur’an.

It has for all of us, always been there but we understood only when Allah opened our hearts towards turning it’s pages; we found comfort and solace. But, this Qur’an not only brings you comfort it brings out who you really are, just as it did with the people, at the time of the Messenger of Allah peace and blessings be upon Him. 

How will we distinguish ourselves through this clear proof that has the ability to keep us safe despite the ever changing climate around us? 
We must follow the Qur’an and Sunnah as sincerely as we can both from the heart and through our actions rendering ourselves as true and firm believers. Should that we slip or fall, may we replace our mistakes with repentance and good actions. 

Hold it tight, hold it close for it contains the best and most perfect guidance in a world that is increasing in moral darkness.
