وتولى عنهم وقال يا اسفى على يوسف وابيضت عيناه من الحزن فهو كظيم ٨٤
وَتَوَلَّىٰ عَنْهُمْ وَقَالَ يَـٰٓأَسَفَىٰ عَلَىٰ يُوسُفَ وَٱبْيَضَّتْ عَيْنَاهُ مِنَ ٱلْحُزْنِ فَهُوَ كَظِيمٌۭ ٨٤
وَتَوَلَّىٰ
عَنۡهُمۡ
وَقَالَ
يَٰٓأَسَفَىٰ
عَلَىٰ
يُوسُفَ
وَٱبۡيَضَّتۡ
عَيۡنَاهُ
مِنَ
ٱلۡحُزۡنِ
فَهُوَ
كَظِيمٞ
٨٤
Et il se détourna d’eux et dit: “Que mon chagrin est grand pour Joseph! ” Et ses yeux blanchirent d’affliction. Et il était accablé.

Instead of focusing on how Yaqub (as) spent his days in joy after being reunited with his son, He tells us verse after verse about his sorrow when he lost him. In surah Yusuf [12], Allah informs us about the brothers of Yusuf who said:
[اقْتُلُوا يُوسُفَ أَوِ اطْرَحُوهُ أَرْضًا يَخْلُ لَكُمْ وَجْهُ أَبِيكُمْ وَتَكُونُوا مِن بَعْدِهِ قَوْمًا صَالِحِينَ]
Kill Yusuf or cast him out to another land so that your father's favor will be for you alone, and after that you will be righteous people. [9]
al-Qushayri mentioned in his tafsir:
[قديمًا قيل : (من طلب الكل = فاته الكل!).فلما أرادوا أن يكون إقبال يعقو...Voir plus

واستدل بالآية على جواز التأسف والبكاء عند النوائب، ولعل الكف عن أمثال ذلك لا يدخل تحت التكليف؛ فإنه قلَّ من يملك نفسه عند الشدائد. وقد روى الشيخان من حديث أنس أنه -صلى الله عليه وسلم- بكى على ولده إبراهيم، وقال: «إن العين تدمع، والقلب يخشع، ولا نقول إلا ما يرضي ربنا، وإنا لفراقك يا إبراهيم لمحزونون». وإنَّما المنهي عنه ما يفعله الجهلة: من النياحة، ولطم الخدود والصدور، وشق الجيوب، وتمزيق الثياب. الألوسي:13/53.

Many of us may be going through an intense emotional trauma at this moment..
The excruciating pain which can never be shared and get treated from a fellow human being, because it was caused by your own blood , your most loved spouse or your close friend. Revealing the cause of the heartache with someone is more damaging to your relationship thus you can cry out for only Allah's help.
Same happened to Ya'kub alaihissalam. He can not share his pain...Voir plus
