How could I know that Allah loves somebody?
One sign that may indicate Allah's love is when a person start sharing.
Whether it is money, love, knowledge, skills, time, good advice.
Allah loves those who love their fellow man.
May Allah make us among those who love others only for the sake to gain the pleasure of Allah.

I love this Surah. The verses are so beautiful, Alhumdulillah. It gives so much peace to know that our children, women, and men who were wronged and bombed while asleep, hungry, and thirsty will be entered in Jannah with Prophets and Sauliheen. The angels will welcome them. They are tried and tested with their children, with hunger. Ya Allah, I know they are at the best of the place and are taken care of. Ya Allah give sabr to their bereaved family members and destroy the enemies who are spreading corruption in your land whether they are from the kafireen or from us. Ya Allah, we trust your justice, we trust you. ‏‏حسبنا الله ونعم الوكيل

Surat Al Raad mentions many pairs and entities that belong to this huge kingdom of Allah, 
and reminds us that our creator controls ALL OF THEM, despite them being opposites to one another. 
The day, and the night 
the sun, and the moon, 

These pairs do exist in human behaviors and choices,
The right, and the wrong, 
Even when we choose to do good, this could be done in secret, or in public, 

There are 32 pairs that exist in Surah 13, can you find them? we asked this question and got beautiful reflections

Safiyya Ihsan wrote: 

'Using your prompt I tried scouting for some pairs and was able to fish out the following: Night and day, male and female, mountains and rivers, sun and moon, angels before and behind, hope and fear, rain and thunder, heaven and earth, truth and falsehood, jannah and jahannam, darkness and light, blindness and sight.
The ayahs that resonated with me for tying these pairs together are verses 2-3 & 11.
Verses 2-3: It is Allah Who has raised the heavens without pillars- as you can see- then established Himself on the Throne. He has subjected the sun and the moon, each orbiting for an appointed term. He conducts the whole affair. He makes the signs clear so that you may be certain of the meeting with your Lord. And He is the One Who spread out the earth and placed firm mountains and rivers upon it, and created fruits of every kind in pairs. He covers the day with night. Surely in this are signs for those who reflect.
Verse 11: For each one there are successive angels before
and behind, protecting them by Allah's command. Indeed, ***Allah would never change a people's state of favour until they change their own state of faith.*** And if it is Allah's Will to torment a people, it can never be averted, nor can they find a protector other than Him.'

When contemplating about this ayah, I realized that throughout our lives, most of us are inevitably tested with situations that require patience. These tests often arise when we feel helpless and believe there is little, we can do other than facing them. However, how many of us face these tests with a mindset of 'seeking the countenance of Allah'? As Muslims, we do not actively seek out difficult circumstances, but when they are presented to us, how many of us consider ourselves fortunate that these challenges provide us with an opportunity to seek closeness to our Lord?

When confronted with trials and tribulations, we may even convince ourselves that it is understandable to neglect our prayers or charitable acts. In such difficult times, do we ever contemplate giving in charity – when we ourselves are in a tough situation, giving sadaqah is perhaps the last thing that comes to our mind ? And when someone wrongs us during this period of being tested with trials and tribulations, do we ever consider responding with kindness and  justice?

The message conveyed in the aforementioned verse contradicts our natural inclinations during challenging periods. Therefore, I pray to Allah to grant me and the entire community the presence of mind and awareness to face our trials and tribulations with the belief that these difficulties are a means to seek the pleasure of Allah. May we endure these hardships by establishing prayer, giving in charity, and responding to evil with goodness, even if it goes against our natural inclinations.

Throughout my life I’ve always thought I understood what sabr is , but my perception of it has constantly changed . Alhamdulilah , 

Sabr isn’t a stage , it’s a constant battle. And it’s tangible. You could feel it and you can see it. In yourself and in others. 

The verses of the Quran tend to open a person heart and no time is ever wasted on reflecting on its verses , with it comes peace 

الصبر عند الصدمة الأولى

Said our beloved prophet pbuh 

Sabr is when the calamity first strikes , and some calamities like the death of a beloved, strike with every remembrance and this sabr is rewarded by As Sabur. 

I think to myself , is Allah actually rewarding me for every second I feel pain for my mothers loss? Is He SWT forgiving my sins for every moment? 

This verse gives me hope, that in the end we’re all going to be together insha Allah. 

But we can’t master sabr , that’s why we never ask for sabr by itself ,  we ask for aafiyah. 

Ya rab , I don’t know how to do sabr . So grant me aafiyah 


اللهم لا سهلا الا ما جعلته سهلا و انت تجعل الحزن اذا شئت سهلا
