There are many verses in Quran that urge believers to look at sky. There are also many narrations that prophet Mohammed ( peace be upon him ) used to look at the sky a lot. Even one of etiquette of supplication ( dua’a) is to raise hands and look at sky.  

Eyes are door to heart. What you look at everyday , dwell in heart without even noticing. Looking at sky , which is one of the greatest God’s creatures, connects heart to God in unfathomable way . The more you look at sky with praise to God and pondering on this magnificent creation , the more you feel this connection with God and perceive divine presence in your life.  It seems that looking at sky is a symbol of connection to divine . A metaphorical way to connect to heaven while on earth. By this way , looking at sky is a kind of worshipping The Almighty The Creator. 

God not only created plain featureless sky, but He purposely made it beautiful for us . Allah says in Quran ' And indeed, We have put the big stars in the heaven and We beautified it for the beholders' . This beauty is for us , the beholders who look at sky. The fact that God adorned sky for us makes believers’ hearts melt. 

Those who cultivate the habit of looking at sky get the same happiness as those who spend loads of money at luxury resorts. They simply look up at the sky and their brain is well trained to release the happiness hormones. Wherever they are , their factory of happiness neurotransmitters is easily switched on by looking at the sky with praising God. 

Looking at the vastness of the sky makes believer sees all what on earth as very small. If eyes and hearts are fixated on the big , everything else is small . The more believer’s heart and eye is filled by divine love and being in a constant state of God ‘s remembrance, the less their hearts can have space for this  temporary life and illusions of worldly materialistic things .

50:11 allows me to reflect on the physics side of the night sky and the beauty within it. There is a beauty in understanding that it was perfectly designed in every single way even to the mathematical extent the was created in such a way that with the slightest changes to the fundamental nature of physics, it would collapse or disperse our universe. Allah created it so perfectly that all the laws of physics are in our favour to allow us to live. Nothing in all lives is truly random and have truly 100% been designed by Allah. This ayah refers to no gaps in Certain translations, when we look at the night sky we can see emptiness in places and would assume that there is nothing there but the more we explore Science, the more we realise that these empty spaces aren’t truly empty and have things such as dark matter and dark energy that we know little to nothing about and that itself is perfect and by design and only Allah could design that.

Images from the NASA's James Webb telescope make us speechles. it's so heavy to grasp and comprehend the magnificent beautiful creation of the sky. My heart feels heavier. 
The only question arise is that people who are in this field and witnessing these spectacular creations can ever be atheists? 
subhanallah, we can never thank enough for the greatest blessing of Eiman we hold now. ya Allah, don't ever take this blessing out of us. we beg your pardon and keep us steadfast.

How beautifully Allah is treating us like a small baby who is taking their baby steps to learn.The world we live is the divine manifestation of the magnificence,glory,perfection, might,power,mercy,beauty etc of our LORD.The big gallery full of mysteries and events is for us to enjoy,contemplate and to know our RABB more deeply. It can raise our emaan,reignite our relationship with our Rabb and make it an act of remembrance. 


Subhanallah....it is with ultimate love that Allah is pointing us towards the sky, stars ,moon ,sun ,trees, mountains ,river ,sea different animals and plants ,flies,the alteration of day and night etc .through quran. Allah is reminding us to look to the nature and appreciate these marvels even if we are so accustomed to it.We have to shake off these familiarities from our head and should observe and see the world with wonder like a baby watching it for the first time.When we are out in nature, all the senses get activated. We get immersed in something bigger than ourselves, rather than focusing narrowly. We can know our RABB more when in the amidst of nature.Thus we can be aware/feel/mindful of the divine touch in everything around us.


Tips to practise mindfulnness


**for anything and everything start with asking allahs help.

** make dua for us to have a mindful heart.

** Remove all distracting thoughts by engaging more in the remembrance of Allah.It helps to open our heart for
 good understanding and to have deeper connection with the situation..

** being fully present and attentive help us to experience even small things very meaningfully.

'' Recitation and reflection upon quran,contemplation upon Allahs names and attributes,and by being in nature allows our senses(seeing,hearing,touching,tasting)to get engaged and we can practice mindfulnness...it is for those with a mindful heart that the reminders will be useful.''

In this fast paced world we barely take the time to stop,stare and reflect at our surroundings.Let us all practice mindfulness of Allah's creations and be conscious of Allah.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْهُدَى وَالتُّقَى وَالْعَفَافَ وَالْغِنَى

Allahumma Inni As’alukal-Huda Wat-Tuqa Wal ‘Afaafa Wal Ghina

O Allah. I beg of You guidance, piety, chastity and independence (from your creation).Aameen

It was only until I could see with my heart that I could see with my eyes. Subhannallah.

Surah Qaf:16

I was reflecting on ayah 16 through which Allah reminds us of his closeness. The jugular vein is the vessel that takes deoxygenated blood from the brain- our organ of comprehension, to our heart- our life giving organ which also has associations with spirituality and feeling. Through this imagery, Allah swt shows us that He is closer to us than even what travels between our comprehension and our hearts. Being aware of this closeness can encourage us to be mindful of Allah’s presence and to let that positively affect our actions. The journey of the blood through the jugular is a vital part of the cycle that keeps us alive; our understanding of and closeness to Allah swt is similarly something which is necessary for us to succeed in both this life and the next. It shows us that seeking connection with Allah swt is the superior mechanism for connecting our understanding and spirituality. 

This description follows ayat 6-11 where Allah swt was calling us to look to nature and to his creation in order that we see the undeniable proof that we will be resurrected and be reminded by the perfection that surrounds us. At the point of ayah 16 we see a shift in focus from Allah calling us to look outwardly to now looking within ourselves. It reminds me to be conscious of purifying my intentions and to be critical of my own actions (rather than comfortable) but I also find comfort and security in knowing that Allah swt is so near.

Surah Qaf, ayahs 6-11 
The context of these ayahs relate to contemplating upon the creation of Allah (swt) bringing the reader’s attention to how the signs in creation are reminders of Allah’s presence and power and the resurrection on the day of Judgement. These verses begin by Allah (swt) first mentioning the earth and sky, how it brings down rain, and how the rain nurtures plants providing fruits which then benefit man as a means of nutrients. The verses begin with the bigger picture and then honing into the final object. This also reinforces that nothing is by chance, everything is intentional and designed to bring purpose, prompting us to reflect on our purpose in this life and our reason for being placed on this earth. 
These ayahs remind us to use our sense, such as sight, to observe and reflect upon the creation of Allah swt around us and within us which results in increase in faith in the unseen. Further reinforcing belief in the resurrection and day of judgment. 
The final verse reminds us that just as Allah (swt) brings life to barren land with rain, so too He will bring us back to life after death on the day of resurrection. 
One of the many ways to apply these ayahs in our current life, is to take in Allah’s creation, take time out to ponder upon what is around and within us, believe that if Allah can create such harmonious universe, he can also destroy and resurrect it again.

Verses 6-11 contemplate on Allah’s creation.
Verse 6 mentions the sky and then verse 7 goes down to the earth. Verse 9 and 10 once again show this rhythmic connection where the water comes downwards from the sky and this makes the earth grow and thrive and trees soar upwards. 
Allah ﷻ is gradually showing us how two things so far apart in distance on a human scale are actually so perfectly interlinked in a purposeful system. And then ayah 11 mentions an example of a fulfilment of a purpose of this system such as to provide 'provision'. This perfect systematic way of creation has a purpose and leads to this purpose being fulfilled due to its perfection. 
Ayah 11 now links back to a key aspect of tadabbur, applying to ourselves and understanding ourselves through the Quran. It links the revival of the earth to the revival of humans after our death, forcing us in an impactful way to quickly reflect on our own purpose in life and our own yaqeen/certainty. Highlights the importance of reflecting on creation around us to understand ourselves and our Lord and purpose. 

Verse 8 is vital in reminding us that these signs are all around us, but it is only those mindful of their Lord and focused in servitude that will truly extract the lessons and truly see the signs with the eye of their heart.

There are signs. There are miracles. There is every proof for us to believe. Now whether we take heed or not is down to our own selves.
