من يصرف عنه يوميذ فقد رحمه وذالك الفوز المبين ١٦
مَّن يُصْرَفْ عَنْهُ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ فَقَدْ رَحِمَهُۥ ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْمُبِينُ ١٦
مَّن
يُصۡرَفۡ
عَنۡهُ
يَوۡمَئِذٖ
فَقَدۡ
رَحِمَهُۥۚ
وَذَٰلِكَ
ٱلۡفَوۡزُ
ٱلۡمُبِينُ
١٦
Quien sea eximido [del castigo] ese día, será porque Dios se apiadó de él, y ese será un triunfo evidente.

“Whoever is spared it…”
This is in the passive voice, with ‘it’ referring back to the punishment. It is also possible to understand that the person is averted from the punishment.

man yaṣrif
“Whomever He spares from it…”
This is in the active voice, referring back to the Lord.
