Ar-Ra’d 13:32 ولقد استهزي برسل من قبلك فامليت للذين كفروا ثم اخذتهم فكيف كان عقاب ٣٢
وَلَقَدِ
ٱسۡتُهۡزِئَ
بِرُسُلٖ
مِّن
قَبۡلِكَ
فَأَمۡلَيۡتُ
لِلَّذِينَ
كَفَرُواْ
ثُمَّ
أَخَذۡتُهُمۡۖ
فَكَيۡفَ
كَانَ
عِقَابِ
٣٢
También se burlaron de los Mensajeros que vinieron antes de ti, pero los toleré por un tiempo [dándoles la oportunidad de enmendarse, y como no lo hicieron], luego los aniquilé. ¡Qué terrible fue Mi castigo!

Allah says to His Messenger, while comforting him in facing his people's denial of him,
وَلَقَدِ اسْتُهْزِىءَ بِرُسُلٍ مِّن قَبْلِكَ
`(And indeed (many) Messengers were mocked at before you), so you have a good example in them,
فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ
