عن أبي سعيد بن المعلى قال: قال رسول الله: «(الحمد لله رب العالمين) هي السبع المثاني، والقرآن العظيم الذي أوتيته». الألوسي:14/432.

After mentioning the virtue of the Quran the Prophet was given, he reminds the Prophet to not look at the pleasures of the dunya as the Quran does more than substitute that for him, so a companion of the quran should have more zuhd or indifference to dunya then someone who is ignorant of it. And rather then greive for the kuffar, save your mercy for the believers
