He who is Benevolent, Gentle and Subtle with His servants. So when we say that God Almighty is lateef with His slaves, it means that while He is always with us, and knows everything that goes on within us from thoughts and emotions, His protection and His presence with us are subtle. You may believe it is your friend that is comforting you, but in reality, it is God Almighty who sent you that friend. Perhaps that one word was what you needed to uplift you. Perhaps your friend told you a joke that helped to get your mind off things.

The 99 Names of Allah

Who defends you even when you feel nobody else in 'power' can or will? 

God does, always has and always will, because He has all the power. 

Verses 56-65 reaffirm this reality by teaching us all about Allah's attributes and that to Him belongs all that is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, that the ships sail through the sea by His command and that He holds the sky from falling down on earth!

In fact I was amazed at all the attributes of Allah mentioned in this one page which include:

-Allah is the Best Provider
-Allah is Knowing, Most Forbearing
-Allah is Ever-Pardoning, All Forgiving
-Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing
-Allah is Most High, All-Great
-Allah is Most Subtle, All-Aware
-Allah is the Self-Sufficient, Praiseworthy
-Allah is Ever Gracious and Most Merciful to humanity
 
Allah further reminds us of His power in verses 73-74 so much so that the entirety of humanity couldn't even create a fly and if a fly were to snatch something away, they cannot retrieve it! Allah once again reminds us of His power and might.

It's as if these verses are telling us, if you're in a position where you felt powerless, helpless,  or oppressed, that nobody can actually help you, He (SwT), with All His Power, Might, Knowledge, Forgiveness, Greatness, Subtlety, Awareness, Self-sufficiency, Grace and Mercy WILL defend you and help you.

Ultimately, it all happens according to His will. He's got you. You're safe with Him.

Branding. What is in a name?

When a product carries the name of a famous person, it exponentially increases its price and perceived value.
The name of that popular person invokes a certain lifestyle; a certain glamour and flair that ordinary people want to have in their lives.
They make luxurious gifts to the special people in your life if you are the lucky few who can afford such gifts! 

When Allah The Most High, puts His name on an ayat the reminders the ayat bring is priceless and holds true worth. 
It is more valuable than any gift from this world.

In these ayats from Surah al Hajj,  Allah paired no less than 10 of His Names!  
On their own, these Names are  immensely powerful and when they are paired together the effect should be so great that all of creation is awed and subdued.

SubhanAllah! 
Allah chose His Names and paired them together to present to us His immense care, love and concern despite having the most violent power to punish us for our wrongs. The power and the intensity of these ayats cannot be captured just by melodious recitation. They need to be studied and reflected upon. The messages need to reach the depth of the heart so that the believer truly understands the Great Love his Creator has for him.

His Glorious Names tie up the messages like a bow; presenting  its reminders to us like  precious Gifts.
