These people are in Jennah, they’ve made it. They’ve earned their paradise. They’re now relaxed, enjoying the comforts and luxuries of jennah. They see other people of jennah and they have a conversation. They’re wondering how did the people of jahanam get there?  And the first thing they answer is, we were not of those who prayed. 

The fact that salah is the first thing they answer should be a warning. Whatever state in our lives that we may be in, salah takes priority. Even if we’re someone who’s established their five daily prayers, alhamdulilah, we should never feel that we’ve done enough. We should always try and push for more. And especially now, now that we’re all at home because of this virus - May Allah grant all those that are suffering from it shifa - we should take advantage of this time. I keep trying to remind myself this.  This is the perfect opportunity for us to perfect our salah. Pray them on time, pray all of the sunnah salahs, pray qiyam, perfect our khushoo, add more duas into our salah, etc. there’s always more that can be done. 

Because at the end of the day, which side of that conversation do you want to be on?
