We see previous themes from other verses reemerging in these verses (and ones following).  

Allah is mentioning the risk of shaitan's influence, and earlier in the surat, we see examples of this risk: those who 'turn their necks in arrogance' and those who 'worship Allah on an edge.' It also reminds us of the people of faith that misconstrued the words of their prophets (pbut), such as those entioned in verse 17. The same description of Shaitan's influence being a trial to further punishment for disbelievers because of the extent of what they've allowed their hearts to become in ayat 53 is referenced in ayat 44. The mention of diseased hearts isn't only in verse 53, but also described further in verse 46, where hearts are described as 'blind.'

Allah brings up knowledge regarding revelation in these verses. Earlier in the surat, Allah describes the opposite scenario: what happens to those who do not embrace the gift of knowledge of revelation. The surat is coming full circle.

Anas b. Mâlik narrates that the Prophet (saws) said:
'Allah, Mighty and Majestic, appointed an Angel in the womb who says: ‘O my Lord, a drop of semen; O my Lord, a clinging clot; O my Lord, a lump of flesh.’ Then when He wishes to decree its form, the Angel asks: ‘Male or female? Doomed or prosperous? What is its provision? What is its lifespan?’ He then writes it down in the womb of its mother.'

It was verse 5 that led to Dr. Keith Moore publicly announcing his reverance of the Quran and a belief in its truth. It's perplexing the scientific accuracy of these verses being delivered by a man who couldn't read in a desert over 1,000 years ago when ultrasound wasn't used clinically until 1956. These verses show the trend in life. You began (physically) as nothing more than units of DNA, that then developed organs and extremities at no capability of your own. You were born, you grew up, you died. And just as the miracle of life from nothingness came to be, the miracle of life from the dead happens just as easily. And as an evidence of Allah's capability to bring the dead back to life, we watch the trees shed their leaves every year and bloom when spring comes (global warming might change that though...).

After all of this, what' s left to debate? #life #death #womb  #SuratAlHaj 

We don't notice that parallel enough - the life and death and life of human beings, the blooming and dying and reviving of plants and trees every year.
