(ولا تهنوا) أي: في جهاد أعدائكم الذين هم أعداء الله؛ فالله معكم عليهم، وإن ظهروا يوم أُحُد نوع ظهور؛ فسترون إلى من يؤول الأمر، (ولا تحزنوا) أي: على ما أصابكم منهم، ولا على غيره مما عساه ينوبكم، والحال أنكم (أنتم الأعلون) أي: في الدارين؛ (إن كنتم مؤمنين). البقاعي: 2/59.
السؤال: هل الهزيمة المؤقتة للمؤمنين تنافـي علوهم؟ وضح ذلك.

يجب بهذه الآية أن لا يوادَعَ العدو ما كانت للمسلمين قوةٌ، فإن كانوا في قُطرٍ ما على غير ذلك؛ فينظر الإمام لهم بالأصلح. ابن عطية: 1 / 513.

💥 Monthly Reflection Theme: Hope in the Promise of Allah💥

'Do not falter or grieve, for you will have the upper hand, if you are ˹true˺ believers. (Qur’an 3:139)

In times of deep pain, anguish and devastation, given what we witness in Gaza, Allah's words offer more than just consolation. It offers certainty. Allah’s words remind us that victory, though delayed, is promised to those who remain steadfast in faith.

This month, we invite you to reflect on the Qur’anic verses that revive hope, especially in the context of enduring injustice and loss. Revisit stories of past nations, of Mūsā (Moses), Nūḥ (Noah), and the Prophet (may Allah send and peace and blessings upon him) and how tyrants were destroyed while truth and resilience triumphed.

-How do these verses serve as an anchor in today’s storms?
-Where does the Qur’an show us that patience and perseverance are not passive, but powerful?
-What does Allah’s promise of ‘nasr’ (victory) mean to you personally, and collectively as an Ummah?
-Which verses do you revisit when you see the devastation in Gaza and how do these verses inspire you, revive hope in your heart?

Let your reflections this month be filled with light, not despair, with a reminder that our losses are seen, and our resilience is rewarded. Even amidst devastation, the Qur’an lifts our gaze to a promise greater than this world.

2- Where does the Qur’an show us that patience and perseverance are not passive, but powerful?

There are many instances in the Holy Book where perseverance and steadfastness is a must and should be kept, of course with great hope in the Almighty. The belief in Him is the driving engine and the motivation for enduring especially adversity. I was reading Surah Hud and will cite some verses from it, e.g., 11:49  'So be patient! Surely the ultimate outcome belongs ˹only˺ to the righteous.' These verses come right after the scenario of denial and rejection of Noah's (peace be upon him) message by his people. And the messenger Noah (peace be upon him) endured patiently for many years. It is a story of perseverance, faith, and obedience to Allah (SWT), the Almighty (voice of Quran). 

Furthermore, we can read on the verses 11:67-68  'And the ˹mighty˺ blast overtook the wrongdoers, so they fell lifeless in their homes, as if they had never lived there. Surely Thamûd denied their Lord, so away with Thamûd!' (quran.com).
In the same surah verses 94-95 emphasize that ' When Our command came, We saved Shu’aib and those who believed with him by a mercy from Us. And the ˹mighty˺ blast overtook the wrongdoers, so they fell lifeless in their homes, as if they had never lived there' (p. 232). 

On top of these verses we can also mention ayat 11:120,  'And We relate to you ˹O Prophet˺ the stories of the messengers to reassure your heart. And there has come to you in this ˹sûrah˺ the truth, a warning ˹to the disbelievers˺, and a reminder to the believers.' It is mentioned to be patient, because ' Certainly Allah does not discount the reward of the good-doers.' 11:115. 

May the Almighty Allah make as among the patient ones who put our trust in him at all times. Ameen!

وَلَا تَهِنُوا۟ وَلَا تَحْزَنُوا۟ وَأَنتُمُ ٱلْأَعْلَوْنَ إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ
So do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be superior if you are [true] believers (3:139)

I feel like it so important to know that the pain from my illness and my mind will not be there in jannah. When you are away from الله SWT you drown yourself in nothing but saddens until you have nothing but darkness around you. You miss so many opportunities just because you were sad. No one can bring you out of the dark pit but yourself, and to do that you have to find الله once again. Allah SWT says take one step towards me, I will take ۱۰ steps towards you, walk towards me and I will run towards you subhan allah watallah. How can I forget about the promises of my rab and feel unimportant. How can I say I am flawed when my creator is Al Musawwir. Allah SWT has seen all my sins, my ugly side, yet he had never abandoned nor forgotten about me so how can I forget about my rab how I can not thank my rab how can I not ask for forgiveness of my rab. I am happier than ever after finding solace in deen and not duniya. When I started pleasing الله instead of people, the pain of my body and mind started to decrease. I was once again able to talk, able to laugh and be grateful of all the blessings around me. Subhanallah. Alhamdulillah. Allahu akbar.

This reflection carries such raw emotion and heartfelt truth. Your journey—from drowning in sadness to rediscovering Allah’s mercy and light—is incredibly moving. That verse from Surah Aal Imran fits beautifully, like a divine reassurance: 'Do not falter or grieve…'

The way you described healing through faith—how pleasing Allah eased your mental and physical pain—reminds me of the verse *'Surely, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest'* (13:28). SubhanAllah, your words are a testimony to that.

Much Needed Verses while the Situation all Around the World especially Gaza feels like a Lost battle 💔-

The heart needs to heal with full obedience to Allah & we need to find strength through Sabr & Salah as mentioned in Quran(2:153) to fight against the Evil . Indeed the Believers will be Victorious- Quran (3:139) - So do not become weak (against your enemy), nor be sad, and you will be superior (in victory) if you are indeed (true) believers.

Be strong & spread strength. Consume what helps you to keep moving forward with good actions, beneficial knowledge, and accepted deeds.

Be strong during times of widespread grief; this is where one's beliefs play a crucial role.

'Do not be weak of heart & do not be sad' (3:139).

This is a time to channel sadness into action, prayer, advocacy, and education; a time to increase one's connection to their Lord, the purpose of life, and the afterlife. Be strong, focus on beneficial actions, and be a source of strength for others.

When we are facing hardship,one of the greatest strength comes from reflecting back on our own lives.
Without the tremendous help and support of our RABB,who is incredibly kind,loving,caring and subtle not a single moment would have passed in our life,not even during challenges.So why should we be concerned now if we have already received and experienced the help and support of our Lord???We should be so much grateful that Allah is our protecting friend and we can find our Rabb watching and guiding us through out our journey....

In fact,facing difficulties in life allow us to more fully experience our LORD's love,care,kindness and mercy.
Our Rabb will be there for us,wrapping us in his love , when we are completely in the dark or when no one is around or listen to us or walk with us.

We are never aware of anyones difficulty unless and until it is disclosed to us.Whenever i am sad  and glance up in the sky,stars are always a source of joy and solace for me.Whereas the life of a star itself is a great struggle to maintain the equilibrium state by balancing the pull of gravity with the pressure from heated core.Yet it SHINES so brightly and make others happy.

Every second of our lives, we are subjected to various gravitational pulls from wants, anxieties,grief,lower nafs, whispers of the devil, etc.

We must arm ourselves with strong faith to resist these pulls.

May Allah swt, grant us the ability to SHINE brightly like stars even in the midst of adversity and to earn his and only his ultimate pleasure.

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. 

How can we always be ‘happy’? when the current abode is only temporary. Everything is to perish, it will not last.

How can we always be ‘sad’? when Allah has been Gracious and bestowed upon us faith. A heart that is conscious and that knows good deeds will follow and last. 

Life is a test. Who will capitalise upon this chance?
