The key is sincerity, a wholehearted devotion solely for the sake of Allah SWT. A heart that strives only to please Him is truly a precious one.

If ikhlaas is purity, then it must reside in a place that is pure, a heart free from ego, pride, arrogance, and any desire for worldly gain.

We do not seek to be seen or heard, nor do we seek validation from others. Our only aspiration is to please our Lord that is the ultimate goal.

This ayah is one ...

When boycotting your most favourite brands, do not think this act will go in vain. At the same time, do not think it is the Palestinians who will be benefitting most from such actions, but rather it is us who will be profiting most from the boycott.

For anyone who leaves anything for the sake of Allāh, it is the Sunnāh of Al Kareem (Most Generous) to always replace it with something better:

‎The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Verily, you will never leave a...

Sometimes the people you sacrificed and did the most for will be ungrateful and unappreciative. They may even completely reject you.

As painful as that may be, it's an opportunity to re-evaluate our intentions and ask ourselves:

'Did I spend my energy serving a human being, or did I serve and sacrifice for the sake of Allah?'

It's also a time to reflect upon our deficiencies towards Allah, who has been immeasurably generous with us. How gra...

When you help people, do it for Allah’s sake alone not for their sake.

If you don’t, you will be left to see the world as a very unkind place to be.

How to Manage Your Expectations:
Step 1: Remove them from people.

Even if you feel that they do, no one owes you anything.
Everything you have belongs to Allah ﷻ.

When you forget this, you expect too much from people and this dunya and find yourself discontent with Allah ﷻ because of it.

Our expectations often reveal our true intentions for doing something.
To purify your intentions, give others what you hope to receive from Allah ﷻ.

When you...

Assalaaam alaykum, 😆

Give food despite their desire for it to the needy, the orphans and the captive. Saying to themselves, we feed you for the sake of Allah, looking neither rewards nor thanks from you. We fear from Allah the horrible distressful Day. - [76:8 to 10]

I was looking at these ayat and I was like thinking, Allah gave a guarantee here if you fear the Judgement Day and want ease on that Day, then give food to the needy, the orphans ...

'Despite their desire for it'

Sometimes we see people working hard to please Allah and we assume it must be easy for them. Or we assume that they don't have the desire to enjoy their time, wealth, energy in other ways. This ayah reminds us that they have the same desires as us, but they strive for Allah's sake despite those desires.

What reflections do you have on this Ayah? I'd love to read them.

Have you ever gotten a call or text from someone out of nowhere after a long absence? Perhaps you had been waiting around for this person for a while. And when they finally get in touch, you realize it's because they need something from you.

Resist the temptation to get bitter or resentful. Resist the temptation to say, 'This person only contacted me because they need something from me'. Take a moment to pause and reflect on the fact that you h...
