Reflections on Surah Al-Hajj Ayah 18

22:18

Do you not see that to Allah bow down ˹in submission˺1 all those in the heavens and all those on the earth, as well as the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, and ˹all˺ living beings, as well as many humans, while many are deserving of punishment. And whoever Allah disgraces, none can honour. Surely Allah does what He wills.

Everything we see in nature, in our world worships Allah out of devotion. The stones we stand upon, the trees that shade us. The universe that amazes every human, the sun that rises to greet us with good vibes, the stars that people gaze at in amazement, the clouds and raindrops from the heavens dropping onto our window-shields . The living and nonliving is all by Allahs mercy and orchestrated by His command. Sometimes the simplest of facts and r...

**Reflection from a brother in my College**

He mentioned how amazing this verse is after I told him my name. He said how he reflects on this verse, and this causes him to reflect on the creation of Allah (swt) . How every creation is doing sujood to Him. So everytime he sees the moon it reminds him to say subhan allah because it (the moon) is in prostration to Allah swt . Everytime he sees any of things mentioned above it reminds him to do dhik...

Again, another re-emerging theme, the way Allah gives life to the dead. In essence, every creation of Allah and every cycle of life is directly linked to His might and thus a reason for the justice we see on earth. We see in all of these processes that they are fair and measured. And the way that the creation testifies to His Justice. #SuratAlHaj

There a stark change in direction from previous verses speaking of those who are doomed to reminding us of the resting place of those who have iman AND inclined toward/do good deeds (an essential combination). I'm always struck by the love that Allah has for the prophet (SAW) when he defends His beloved messenger so vehmently in verses such as verse 15.
Verse 17 reminds me of a confidence believers are given which can relate back to the adab of d...
