When the believers in Our revelations come to you, say, “Peace be upon you! Your Lord has taken upon Himself to be Merciful. Whoever among you commits evil ignorantly ˹or recklessly˺ then repents afterwards and mends their ways, then Allah is truly All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
This verse reminds a believer that, no matter how great their sins may feel, how unworthy they may consider themselves, and how flawed a human being can be, yet none of these weaknesses are greater than the grace and mercy of ALLAH.
The verse gives hope that no matter how heavy one's sins may feel, if a person turns back sincerely and strives to correct their ways, they will find ALLAH to be Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.
