ما كان محمد ابا احد من رجالكم ولكن رسول الله وخاتم النبيين وكان الله بكل شيء عليما

مَّا كَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ أَبَآ أَحَدٍ مِّن رِّجَالِكُمْ وَلَـٰكِن رَّسُولَ ٱللَّهِ وَخَاتَمَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ ۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمًا

He ﷺ was the only person to be granted the journey to the 7 heavens and meet Allah SWT.

He ﷺ was the chosen man by Allah ﷻ to be the mercy for all the worlds.

He ﷺ was the last prophet sent by Allah ﷻ to the entire mankind till the day of judgement.

He ﷺ was the master of psychology and behaviour, and interpreting faces.

He ﷺ was the most eloquent speaker and well-respected member of the society.

He ﷺ was the most commendable leader in matters of public and private interests.

He ﷺ was the possessor of the sharpest memory and the first protector of the Quran.

He ﷺ was the possessor of exceptional stability, carrying the greatest prophetic mission.

He ﷺ was the strongest general and commander and fiercest warrior in the battlefield.

He ﷺ was the most well-mannered human being to be born in this planet Earth.

He ﷺ was the most merciful, forgiving, and cooperative in all matters and circumstances.

He ﷺ was the most beautiful human to walk this land, and his energy was matchless.

He ﷺ was the most just, wise, patient and persistent man to walk this planet Earth.

He ﷺ was the possessor of the most fragrant odour, nicer than pure musk itself.

He ﷺ was the one witnessed to never see a man like him, neither before, nor after him.

He ﷺ was the possessor of the most mature mindset under any circumstances.

He ﷺ was the most beneficial intercessor for believers in the day of judgement.

He ﷺ was the best father and the master of parenting and nurturing.

He ﷺ was the most caring and loving husband to the mothers of the believers.

Subhanallah, beautiful. Jazakallah khair for sharing.

He is the All-Knowing: He knows what is and what could be, what was and what could have been. Imam Al-Ghazali, may God have mercy on him, said, 'Its perfection lies in comprehending everything by knowledge—manifest and hidden, small and large, first and last, inception and outcome.' The all-Knower even knows every leaf that falls. He knows what our souls whisper to us and He is closer to us 'than the jugular vein'. So He knows what you are going through, what you are feeling. Your Lord does not forget either; so do not think that anything you have done has gone to waste. He knows when you prevented yourself from doing bad for His sake, so just because you didn’t see the result of your choice immediately, don’t think that it went unnoticed. But some things need patience, and God Almighty teaches us with time. God Almighty tells us: 'But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you; and perhaps you love a thing and it is bad for you. And God Knows, while you know not.' (Qur’an, 2:216)

From Recitation to Reflection
A Lamp Giving Light

Maghrib Prayer · Surah Al-Ahzab (33:38–48)

Tonight, listening to these verses in the voice of Al-Azhar, something felt different.
I may have read these words before, but tonight they sounded almost like an introduction.
Not an introduction written by history.
Not one shaped by generations of people who came after the Prophet ﷺ.
An introduction given by Allah (SWT) Himself.

﴿مَّا كَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ أَبَا أَحَدٍ مِّن رِّجَالِكُمْ وَلَٰكِن رَّسُولَ اللَّهِ وَخَاتَمَ النَّبِيِّينَ﴾
“Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets.”

And then Allah tells us who He sent him to be:
﴿يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ شَاهِدًا وَمُبَشِّرًا وَنَذِيرًا ۝ وَدَاعِيًا إِلَى اللَّهِ بِإِذْنِهِ وَسِرَاجًا مُّنِيرًا﴾
“O Prophet, We have sent you as a witness, a bearer of good news, a warner, one who calls to Allah by His permission, and a lamp giving light.”
A witness.
A bearer of good news.
A warner.
A caller to Allah.

And then those final words:
وَسِرَاجًا مُّنِيرًا — a lamp giving light.
Something about hearing them tonight touched me deeply.
Not because the Prophet  is presented as the destination, but because Allah describes him as the one who calls us to Him.
That distinction feels beautiful.
We love Muhammad as the Messenger of Allah.
We follow the way he taught us to worship Him.
And through his life and message, Allah brought us His final revelation and guidance.

Then comes the promise:
﴿وَبَشِّرِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ بِأَنَّ لَهُم مِّنَ اللَّهِ فَضْلًا كَبِيرًا﴾
“And give the believers the good news that they will have great bounty from Allah.”

And near the end of the passage, after describing his mission, Allah gives His Messenger a simple command:
﴿وَدَعْ أَذَاهُمْ وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى اللَّهِ ۚ وَكَفَىٰ بِاللَّهِ وَكِيلًا﴾
“And leave their harm, and put your trust in Allah. And sufficient is Allah as a Trustee.”

The Prophet was not sent into an easy world. He faced rejection and harm, yet Allah taught him how to meet it: to turn away from what hurts, remain patient, and place his trust in Him.
And perhaps that is part of the light we see in his example - his path was not easy, yet nothing he faced turned him away from the One who sent him.

As the days of remembering the birth of the Prophet approach, this recitation made me think less about the date itself and more about who Allah tells us he was.
His Messenger.
The Seal of the Prophets.
A witness.
A bearer of good news.
A warner.
One who calls to Allah.
A lamp giving light.

And perhaps the most beautiful way to honor him is to follow that light back to the One who sent him.
To send salah and salam  upon him, to learn from his way, and to let his example lead us closer to Allah.

A lamp giving light.
And we are still walking by it.
