My mother always say, "Whenever you help someone, you help your own self." I never fully understood what she meant until I reflected on the story of Prophet Musa(AS).
Musa (AS) had nothing. He was alone, exhausted, and uncertain about what lay ahead. Yet when he saw two women struggling at the well, he did not let the opportunity to help pass by. He stepped forward and helped, purely for the sake of Allah.
That small act of kindness changed the...

Today I opened my old duʿā journal and realized how desperately I used to ask Allah for specific things. Almost every page was filled with detailed wishes, urgent needs, and emotional demands. At that time, my heart believed relief depended on those exact outcomes.
Reflecting on the duʿā of Musa (AS)
“My Lord, I am in need of whatever good You send to me”
I understood something profound.
Human beings naturally try to control uncertainty. When ...

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Especially Merciful,
As we go through life with the knowledge that we will be tested and trials and tribulations are part and parcel of life. The contemplator of the Qur’an comes to the conclusion that the prophets peace and blessings be upon them all navigated through their tests with Dua or supplication.
Life will contain changes, different sorts of ones but perhaps one of the most vulnerable chan...

Have you ever given someone advice and watched them resist it?
Then they complain about not knowing what to do.
You’re offering help, hoping they’ll take it, but for some reason they stay stuck.
Stuck in a fixed mentality.
Unable to move past their limitations or their justifications of them.
And then you realize… you do the same with Allah ﷻ.
When I read these ayat, I can’t help but think of those moments:
'Allah intends to lighten your burde...

Trust in Allah Amid Hardship
The following is the powerful dua of Musa (AS):
'My Lord, I am in dire need of whatever good You may send me.'(Quran 28:24)
This heartfelt dua was made by Musa (AS) at a moment of complete vulnerability when he was exiled, destitute, homeless, and penniless. After accidentally killing one of Pharaoh’s men, Musa (AS) was warned to flee Egypt, as Pharaoh’s people were conspiring to take his life. He left immediat...

One of the defining traits of all Allah’s Prophets is their unparalleled humility and complete submission to His will. They are so profoundly conscious of His all-encompassing knowledge that even in moments of extreme hardship, calling upon Him feels like a hesitation between submission and supplication. They fully trust that Allah is aware of their struggles, yet they also recognize that He loves those who call upon Him.
A striking example of ...

How to Manage Your Expectations:
Step 1: Remove them from people.
Even if you feel that they do, no one owes you anything.
Everything you have belongs to Allah ﷻ.
When you forget this, you expect too much from people and this dunya and find yourself discontent with Allah ﷻ because of it.
Our expectations often reveal our true intentions for doing something.
To purify your intentions, give others what you hope to receive from Allah ﷻ.
When you...

'My Lord, I am in need of whatever good you send down to me.' 28:24
This ayah brings much tranquillity to my heart.
I read this dua in distress to strengthen my heart and accept the situations that I encounter.
I embrace the unexpected with a firm belief that it is good for my situation from Allah (SWT) - it gives me bliss and eases my throbbing heart for another day.

I know many people who are unemployed, indigent and in dire financial straits who spend their days in a state of emotional turmoil. Usually when danger, misery touches us, we become very endangered and fall into the deep darkness of despair. How can our hearts forget the remembrance of Allah in such a difficult time. Even though all possible ways of the world to alleviate the misery that has befallen us then peep into our minds, we unknowingly...

Adam A.S made a mistake, he immediately turned to Allah through dua
Musa A.S performed a noble deed, he immediately turned to Allah through dua.
what does this tell us about how much dua should be implemented in our lives?
why does it have to be something we do when we need something , or when we fear something?
when you wake up in the middle of the night, what's the first thing you do? check your phone? or make a quick dua?
