وَأَذِنَتْ لِرَبِّهَا وَحُقَّتْ

every single thing on this earth was created to obey their Lord whether its the dirt on the ground or the stars in the sky

Surah Al-Inshiqaq begins with the cosmic upheaval—the sky tearing apart, the earth stretching and emptying itself. It’s a grand, unsettling scene. But immediately, the lens zooms in, and suddenly it’s me. It’s us.

'O human, you are toiling… until you meet your Lord.'
The surah doesn’t leave Judgment Day as some distant, detached event. It locks me into it.
This isn’t just a moment in history—this is the destination of my constant, grinding labor.

And what happens when I finally meet Him?
The people are split.
Some receive their record in joy, from the right.
Some from behind their backs, humiliated.

And then… the surah takes an intimate turn.
'Indeed, he thought he would never return.'
Here’s the heart of it.
The problem isn’t just the sin. The problem is the delusion:
That this ride through life was going nowhere.
That the stages were random.
That there wouldn’t be a homecoming at the end of it.

But Allah was watching.
Through every layer.
Through every stage.
Through every moment when I thought no one saw the struggle, or the shortcuts, or the slips.

Then come the oaths—
'By the twilight.'
'And the night.'
'And the moon.'
What are these if not a series of stages?
Twilight bleeds into night.
Night deepens into full darkness.
The moon itself waxes and wanes through its phases.
All of creation is cycling, progressing, evolving through its decreed stations.

And then the summary line—
'You will surely ride stage after stage.'

It ties right back to that man who thought he’d never return.
How could he?
When everything in existence is in motion?
When everything ascends, transforms, develops—until it meets its completion?
And me, toiling through life—what am I doing if not riding from one phase to the next, with the final stop being the meeting with the One I’ve been moving toward all along?

honestly jazakallah for this deep and heart touching reflection. im a teenager 17 yr old and recently i have reflected on myself that for what reason allah subhana talah made us and yes im becoming a better version of myself. i was so afraid of death when i was 13 or 14 because i saw the death of my grandma and because of maybe darkness i thought im afraid of graves but no the reality is i wasnt ready enough to embrace myself into that soil and meet ALLAH. for that reason i got to know this world is like a travelling path and we are a tranveller we have a destination which is hearafter and will meet our lord, inshallah i wish Allah keep me on right path and yes now on wards ill prepare myself for meeting allah at any point in my life ameen.
