saying, ‘Seek your Lord’s forgiveness, ˹for˺ He is truly Most Forgiving.

ثم حكى - سبحانه - جانبا من إرشادات نوح لقومه فقال : ( فَقُلْتُ استغفروا رَبَّكُمْ )أى : فقلت لهم - على سبيل النصح والإِرشاد إلى ما ينفعهم ويغريهم بالطاعة - ( استغفروا رَبَّكُمْ ) بأن تتوبوا إليه ، وتقلعوا عن كفركم وفسوقكم ( إِنَّهُ ) - سبحانه - ( كَانَ غَفَّاراً ) .أى : كثير الغفران لمن تاب إليه وأناب .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
