Can those who had been dead, to whom We gave life and a light with which they can walk among people, be compared to those in complete darkness from which they can never emerge?1 That is how the misdeeds of the disbelievers have been made appealing to them.
أَوَمَن كَانَ مَيْتًا فَأَحْيَيْنَـٰهُ وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُۥ نُورًا يَمْشِى بِهِۦ “Is a dead person brought back to life by Us, and given light with which to walk among people, comparable to someone trapped in deep darkness who cannot escape” (6:122)

“When death comes to find you, may it find you alive.”
I came across this African proverb and thought it was pretty beautiful, especially when viewed through the lens of Islam, as Allah ﷻ describes the believers as being truly alive.
“Is one who was dead and We gave him life and made for him light by which he walks among the people like one who is in darkness, never to emerge from it?” (6:122)
And we often ask Allah ﷻ to grant us a good ending...
