O believers! Stand up for Allah, as Jesus, son of Mary, asked the disciples, “Who will stand up with me for Allah?” The disciples replied, “We will stand up for Allah.” Then a group from the Children of Israel believed while another disbelieved. We then supported the believers against their enemies, so they prevailed.

Readings
أَنْصَارَ اللَّهِ
anṣāra Llāhi
“Be God’s helpers”
This reading is based on genitive annexation. The subsequent occurrence is agreed upon this form: anṣāru Llāh.
أَنصَارًا لِلَّهِ
anṣāran li-llāhi
“Be helpers for God”
This reading has an indefinite noun followed by a prepositional phrase.

Explanation

These readings convey the same meaning with slightly different grammar [al-Mahdawi]. Note that both are based on the same skeletal form, as the alif may be read along with the preceding accusative word, or as the start of the divine name.

He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
