Indeed, that is My Path—perfectly straight. So follow it and do not follow other ways, for they will lead you away from His Way. This is what He has commanded you, so perhaps you will be conscious ˹of Allah˺.”

Readings
wa-anna hādhā ṣirāṭī*
wa-an hādhā ṣirāṭī*
“Since this is My path going straight, follow it”
These readings contain anna or its lightened form an, both with an implied lām before it. *In the narrations of Qunbul and Ruways, the word is vocalised as sirāṭ (see 1:6).
wa-inna hādhā ṣirāṭī*
“This is My path going straight, so follow it”
I.e. the rhetorical question is asked in the third person, then the final statement is in the second person. *In the narration of Khalaf from Ḥamzah, the word ṣirāṭ is pronounced with a voiced ‘ṣ’.

Explanation

These readings amount to the same meaning [Makki].

He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
