Readings
يَسْتَطِِيعُ رَبُّكَ
hal yastaṭīʿu rabbuka
“Is your Lord able to send down…?”
This reading has a third-person verb; this is understood as the Disciples requesting this from God, not literally asking whether He is capable.
تَسْتَطِِيعُ رَبَّكَ
hal* tastaṭīʿu rabbaka
“Are you able (to ask) your Lord to send down…?”
In this reading, the second-person verb is addressed to Jesus (pbuh), requesting him to ask God for a feast to be sent down. *This is pronounced according to al-Kisāʾī’s rules as hat-tastaṭīʿu.

Explanation

These readings amount to the same meaning, expressed in different ways.

He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
