And so your Lord’s decree has been proven true against the disbelievers—that they will be the inmates of the Fire.

وقوله : ( وكذلك حقت كلمة ربك على الذين كفروا أنهم أصحاب النار ) أي : كما حقت كلمة العذاب على الذين كفروا من الأمم السالفة ، كذلك حقت على المكذبين من هؤلاء الذين كذبوك وخالفوك يا محمد بطريق الأولى والأحرى ; لأن من كذبك فلا وثوق له بتصديق غيرك .
He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
