Multiple choice question: how do we treat our parents? (a) With excellence, kindness, and patience. (b) At a distance. (c) When we have the time. (d) Sever our ties with them.
Anyone could've looked at this and said obviously, it'd be (a), especially when we compare it to what the Qur'an says.
Let's tweak it a little though. I want to take a look at how this response can change as the questions progressively stray from an ideal scenario.
