I have been thinking about the blessings Allah mentions for Bani Israel at the beginning of Surah Al-Baqarah.
Allah reminds them of how He saved them from Pharaoh, parted the sea for them, provided for them in the desert, gave them water, and blessed them with revelation and guidance.
They had received so much from Allah. And yet, after receiving, they repeatedly disobeyed and turned away.
