When they meet the believers they say, “We believe.” But when alone with their evil associates they say, “We are definitely with you; we were only mocking.”

هؤلاء المنافقون إذا قابلوا المؤمنين قالوا: صدَّقنا بالإسلام مثلكم، وإذا انصرفوا وذهبوا إلى زعمائهم الكفرة المتمردين على الله أكَّدوا لهم أنهم على ملة الكفر لم يتركوها، وإنما كانوا يَسْتَخِفُّون بالمؤمنين، ويسخرون منهم.
