28:64
وقيل ادعوا شركاءكم فدعوهم فلم يستجيبوا لهم وراوا العذاب لو انهم كانوا يهتدون ٦٤
وَقِيلَ ٱدْعُوا۟ شُرَكَآءَكُمْ فَدَعَوْهُمْ فَلَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لَهُمْ وَرَأَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ ۚ لَوْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ يَهْتَدُونَ ٦٤
وَقِيلَﲃ
ٱدۡعُواْﲄ
شُرَكَآءَكُمۡﲅ
فَدَعَوۡهُمۡﲆ
فَلَمۡﲇ
يَسۡتَجِيبُواْﲈ
لَهُمۡﲉ
وَرَأَوُاْﲊ
ٱلۡعَذَابَۚﲋﲌ
لَوۡﲍ
أَنَّهُمۡﲎ
كَانُواْﲏ
يَهۡتَدُونَﲐ
٦٤ﲑ
It will be said ˹to the disbelievers˺, “Call upon your associate-gods ˹for help˺.” So they will call them, but will receive no response. And they will face the punishment, wishing they had been ˹rightly˺ guided!

Again the same promise, Allah will never punish a people unless they've denied the message after being sent a messenger and Allah is most Just! So just in fact, that He gave the more flexible option to the disbelievers. In Surat Al=an'aam, they asked why they weren't sent an angel instead of a human, not realizing that if they had denied the angel, then the punishment would've been immediate.
