27:46
قال يا قوم لم تستعجلون بالسيية قبل الحسنة لولا تستغفرون الله لعلكم ترحمون ٤٦
قَالَ يَـٰقَوْمِ لِمَ تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ قَبْلَ ٱلْحَسَنَةِ ۖ لَوْلَا تَسْتَغْفِرُونَ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ ٤٦
قَالَﱏ
يَٰقَوۡمِﱐ
لِمَﱑ
تَسۡتَعۡجِلُونَﱒ
بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِﱓ
قَبۡلَﱔ
ٱلۡحَسَنَةِۖﱕﱖ
لَوۡلَاﱗ
تَسۡتَغۡفِرُونَﱘ
ٱللَّهَﱙ
لَعَلَّكُمۡﱚ
تُرۡحَمُونَﱛ
٤٦ﱜ
He urged ˹the disbelieving group˺, “O my people! Why do you ˹seek to˺ hasten the torment1 rather than grace?2 If only you sought Allah’s forgiveness so you may be shown mercy!”

This verse shows the consideration of Salih for his people. It shows his gentleness and his wanting of guidance for all. As Muslims, we should follow his example and spread the oneness of Allah in the hope that as many people are guided to the truth.

He even addresses them dearly and says 'O my people' and asks them a question instead of simply stating that they are hastening the torment. He calls them to the better option which is to seek Allah...
