وكذالك انزلناه ايات بينات وان الله يهدي من يريد ١٦
وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ ءَايَـٰتٍۭ بَيِّنَـٰتٍۢ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَهْدِى مَن يُرِيدُ ١٦
وَكَذَٰلِكَ
أَنزَلۡنَٰهُ
ءَايَٰتِۭ
بَيِّنَٰتٖ
وَأَنَّ
ٱللَّهَ
يَهۡدِي
مَن
يُرِيدُ
١٦
And so We revealed this ˹Quran˺ as clear verses. And Allah certainly guides whoever He wills.

There a stark change in direction from previous verses speaking of those who are doomed to reminding us of the resting place of those who have iman AND inclined toward/do good deeds (an essential combination). In verse 1, put simply, God did not come to play. Allah sets the scene for very serious warnings.
