ما ياتيهم من ذكر من ربهم محدث الا استمعوه وهم يلعبون ٢
مَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّهِم مُّحْدَثٍ إِلَّا ٱسْتَمَعُوهُ وَهُمْ يَلْعَبُونَ ٢
مَاﱉ
يَأۡتِيهِمﱊ
مِّنﱋ
ذِكۡرٖﱌ
مِّنﱍ
رَّبِّهِمﱎ
مُّحۡدَثٍﱏ
إِلَّاﱐ
ٱسۡتَمَعُوهُﱑ
وَهُمۡﱒ
يَلۡعَبُونَﱓ
٢ﱔ
Whatever new reminder comes to them from their Lord, they only listen to it jokingly,

'Before a heart becomes diseased or dead, it becomes distracted'

I heard Imam Omar Suleiman say this in a lecture I was listening to yesterday. This prompted me to look up ayahs that contain the word 'distracted' (noted below).
