Ma'arif al-Qur'an Tafsir: Taha Ayah 64
فاجمعوا كيدكم ثم ايتوا صفا وقد افلح اليوم من استعلى ٦٤
فَأَجْمِعُوا۟ كَيْدَكُمْ ثُمَّ ٱئْتُوا۟ صَفًّۭا ۚ وَقَدْ أَفْلَحَ ٱلْيَوْمَ مَنِ ٱسْتَعْلَىٰ ٦٤
فَأَجۡمِعُواْﳊ
كَيۡدَكُمۡﳋ
ثُمَّﳌ
ٱئۡتُواْﳍ
صَفّٗاۚﳎﳏ
وَقَدۡﳐ
أَفۡلَحَﳑ
ٱلۡيَوۡمَﳒ
مَنِﳓ
ٱسۡتَعۡلَىٰﳔ
٦٤ﳕ
So orchestrate your plan, then come forward in ˹perfect˺ ranks. And whoever prevails today will certainly be successful.”

You are reading a tafsir for the group of verses 20:64 to 20:65
فَأَجْمِعُوا كَيْدَكُمْ ثُمَّ ائْتُوا صَفًّا (So, make your plot firm and forth in one row - 20:64). Formation of troops in ranks in battle has an unsettling effect on the enemy, so the Egyptian magicians arranged themselves in ranks for the contest.
