قال فما بال القرون الاولى

قَالَ فَمَا بَالُ ٱلْقُرُونِ ٱلْأُولَىٰ

I was always fascinated by Musa A.S mentioning that my Lord does not forget. Like why would this be something Musa A.S mentions infront of the pharaoh. 

I reflected on this ayah two years ago.

*It's crazy that there were struggles I was going through two years ago that I probably forgot today. At the time I probably thought I was never going to make it through,
But Allah helped me. Alhamdulillah.

And there are some struggles from two years ago that I am still going through right now but soon Insha Allah they will be removed and I will forget them soon but Allah will never forget. * 

ما كان ربي نسيا 

Back to the noble prophet Mosa. It's amazing how Allah swt is reminding him how He saved him when he was a baby and how He saved him from sorrow when he accidentally killed a man. 

*How much sorrow was Musa A.S going through that Allah saved him from?* 

And then Musa A.S entered in a contract with his to- be father in-law, and served his in-laws for a period of time. Then when he was finally with his family , Allah commanded him to go to the pharaoh and call him to Allah. The hardest of tasks. 

*It's hard to face someone that does not welcome you, and then to convince that person to change everything they hold on to, to go against their values 
that they hold dear, and to change it to something else. 
subhaan Allah, no wonder Musa A.S said that beautiful dua*

*This was something even Abu Talib could not do even when our beloved messenger pbuh called him to.*

Subhaan Allah 


قَالَ رَبِّ ٱشْرَحْ لِى صَدْرِى 
...وَيَسِّرْ لِىٓ أَمْرِى

Yes it's TRUE.  Maybe when we read this ayah it can help us be more thankful to Allah for the hardships he saved us from in the past. Jazakallahu khairan for the post!
