كُنْ فَيَكُونُ
fa-yakūnu
كُنْ فَيَكُونَ
fa-yakūna
“He says to it ‘Be,’ and so it becomes”

Explanation

The two readings convey the same meaning, but in Ibn ʿĀmir’s reading the verb yakūn is subjunctive as a consequence for the imperative ‘Be’ [al-Samin al-Halabi].

He has revealed to you ˹O Prophet˺ the Book in truth, confirming what came before it, as He revealed the Torah and the Gospel
