Al-Kahf 18:77 فانطلقا حتى اذا اتيا اهل قرية استطعما اهلها فابوا ان يضيفوهما فوجدا فيها جدارا يريد ان ينقض فاقامه قال لو شيت لاتخذت عليه اجرا ٧٧
فَانْطَلَقَا ۥ
حَتّٰۤی
اِذَاۤ
اَتَیَاۤ
اَهْلَ
قَرْیَةِ
سْتَطْعَمَاۤ
اَهْلَهَا
فَاَبَوْا
اَنْ
یُّضَیِّفُوْهُمَا
فَوَجَدَا
فِیْهَا
جِدَارًا
یُّرِیْدُ
اَنْ
یَّنْقَضَّ
فَاَقَامَهٗ ؕ
قَالَ
لَوْ
شِئْتَ
لَتَّخَذْتَ
عَلَیْهِ
اَجْرًا
۟
So they moved on until they came to the people of a town. They asked them for food, but the people refused to give them hospitality. There they found a wall ready to collapse, so the man set it right. Moses protested, “If you wanted, you could have demanded a fee for this.”

So they set out, until when they came to the people of a town, they asked its people for food, but they refused to offer them hospitality. And they found therein a wall about to collapse, so he [i.e., al-Khiḍr] restored it. [Moses] said, "If you wished, you could have taken for it a payment."

Tafsir Ahsanul Bayaan
অতঃপর উভয়ে চলতে লাগল; চলতে চলতে তারা এক জনপদের অধিবাসীদের নিকট পৌঁছে খাদ্য চাইল; কিন্তু তারা তাদের মেহমানদারী করতে অস্বীকার করল।[১] অতঃপর সেখানে তারা এক পতনোন্মুখ প্রাচীর দেখতে পেল এবং সে ওটাকে সোজা খাড়া করে দিল। [২] মূসা বলল, ‘আপনি তো ইচ্ছা করলে এর জন্য পারিশ্রমিক গ্রহণ করতে পারতেন।’ [৩]
