An-Náhl 16:26 قد مكر الذين من قبلهم فاتى الله بنيانهم من القواعد فخر عليهم السقف من فوقهم واتاهم العذاب من حيث لا يشعرون ٢٦
قَدۡ
مَكَرَ
ٱلَّذِينَ
مِن
قَبۡلِهِمۡ
فَأَتَى
ٱللَّهُ
بُنۡيَٰنَهُم
مِّنَ
ٱلۡقَوَاعِدِ
فَخَرَّ
عَلَيۡهِمُ
ٱلسَّقۡفُ
مِن
فَوۡقِهِمۡ
وَأَتَىٰهُمُ
ٱلۡعَذَابُ
مِنۡ
حَيۡثُ
لَا
يَشۡعُرُونَ
٢٦
Indeed, those before them had plotted, but Allah struck at the ˹very˺ foundation of their structure, so the roof collapsed on top of them, and the torment came upon them from where they did not expect.1

Those before them had already plotted, but Allāh came at [i.e., uprooted] their building from the foundations, so the roof fell upon them from above them,1 and the punishment came to them from where they did not perceive.
