للذين استجابوا لربهم الحسنى والذين لم يستجيبوا له لو ان لهم ما في الارض جميعا ومثله معه لافتدوا به اولئك لهم سوء الحساب وماواهم جهنم وبئس المهاد

لِلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَجَابُوا۟ لِرَبِّهِمُ ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ لَمْ يَسْتَجِيبُوا۟ لَهُۥ لَوْ أَنَّ لَهُم مَّا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا وَمِثْلَهُۥ مَعَهُۥ لَٱفْتَدَوْا۟ بِهِۦٓ ۚ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ سُوٓءُ ٱلْحِسَابِ وَمَأْوَىٰهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ ۖ وَبِئْسَ ٱلْمِهَادُ

قال إبراهيم النخعي: (سوء الحساب) أي: يحاسب الرجل بذنبه كله؛ لا يغفر له [منه] شيء. البغوي:2/523.

'So let them respond to Me'

This verse appears at the end of the passage where Allah gives us the prescription of Ramadan. Whenever I read it, I am awe-struck by the endearing expression: 'So let them respond to Me.'

Allah the Almighty is not in need of our response to His call, but we are surely in need of His response to ours.
Allah is not in need of our worship or dedication, but we are in dire need of worshipping Him.


Yet the expression 'let them respond to Me' gives a profound sense of care and gentleness. It is as if Allah is reassuring us: He responds to our calls—so let us respond to Him. For He will hear our pleas, take care of our needs, replace our worries and anxieties with guidance, and direct us to the best of paths and solutions.

In another verse, Allah describes those who call upon idols besides Him. They gain no benefit—like someone who stretches out their hands to water, asking it to reach their mouth, but it never does. This can also be understood as a person who relies on others besides Allah for a particular outcome: nothing and no one else can truly bring benefit.


Allah says:

'Calling upon Him ˹alone˺ is the truth. But those ˹idols˺ the pagans invoke besides Him ˹can˺ never respond to them in any way. ˹It is˺ just like someone who stretches out their hands to water, ˹asking it˺ to reach their mouth, but it can never do so. The calls of the disbelievers are only in vain.' (Qur’an 13:14)
This is then contrasted with the following assurance in Surah Ar-Ra’d—that those who respond to Him will have the finest of rewards:


'Those who respond to ˹the call of˺ their Lord will have the finest reward. As for those who do not respond to Him, even if they possessed everything in the world—twice over—they would certainly offer it to ransom themselves. They will face strict judgment, and Hell will be their home. What an evil place to rest!' (Qur’an 13:18)
Ramadan was a month of du‘ā’ and heightened dependence on Allah. Through responding to His Book and through our supplications, we felt close to Him. So let us be among those who respond to Allah throughout the year—by studying His Book, by beseeching Him, and by calling upon Him in our night prayers—for surely, Allah is always and forever Responsive and Near.

Mash Allah,he is the knower of the universe and he is A- Mujib(the Responder).

Quranic/Islamic worldview.  Don't chase this dunya (life of this world).
Be around those who remind you to respond to the Call. What good are those who encourage you to disobey/ignore, be heedless of the Call? Allah is calling us to all that is good in this life and the next.  And here is what the Big Deceiver has to say: 

And Satan will say when the matter has been concluded, 'Indeed, Allāh had promised you the promise of truth. And I promised you, but I betrayed you. But I had no authority over you except that I invited you, and you responded to me. So do not blame me; but blame yourselves. I cannot be called to your aid, nor can you be called to my aid. Indeed, I deny your association of me [with Allāh] before. Indeed, for the wrongdoers is a painful punishment.
