We sometimes read the Quran looking at the stories and figures unknowingly as mythology than guidance.

We often unsee that Allah sent the Messengers from amongst us for guidance and relevance.

So that we not just admire them, but get inspired and follow them.

In Yusuf AS story

Allah tells us :

"He would have have done likewise."

Allah did not hide the reality of the test. He did not erase the difficulty of the moment.
In this verse, the c...

Leadership When No One Sees

The Qur’an shows that the most decisive leadership moments can happen behind a locked door, where reputation cannot protect you and no one can expose you. “The proof of his Lord” is the power of a heart trained to remember Allah at the exact moment the nafs argues, which means your private restraint may be the seed of a public trust Allah grants you later.

Just like when you are riding a horse, the main thing is to have reins in your hands, you d...

In the verse, it was Allah who turned evil away from Yusuf and not Yusuf's actions. We should not think we are saved from evil because of our righteousness.

We often become so focused on our problems that we fail to envision the solution. But Allah, the best of planners, Al Hakeem (the wise) and Al-Qadir (the All-Powerful), is in control. Everything we plan, either succeed or failed is according to His will, and He knows both our successes and our failures. Even after countless efforts, when we feel trapped in the depths of our problems, like sinking deeper into quicksand, we must remember that the p...
