In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Most Compassionate,

I often look at nature to appreciate how Allaah has created everything for us. Sometimes, the nature takes my breath away that I think glory be to Allaah, how will it be in jannah?

As I am reflecting upon the Qur’an and studying tafsir, I realise tests do not only consist of trials but tests also include blessings.

I also realise that to be able to be amongst nature, serenity, ...

The Qur'an doesn't cease to amaze me specifically in the way human beings have been described in it. Just like a manufacturer writes an instruction manual for their product, Allah SWT has described the behaviour of His Creation so intricately in His Book. And one such ayah is
خُلِقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ مِنۡ عَجَلٍ
Man was created of haste.
(21:37)

Tafsir al Jalalayn explains this as - 'Man was created of haste, that is to say, because he is so hasty in...

God's generosity is beyond measure.

He knows the desires buried deep in your heart that you long for,

He knows the type of mending you need to heal the hurting parts of you,

He knows the people you need to meet and the places you need to be at to bring out the best in you,

And so He gives,

And then He gives,

And then He gives more,

Until His giving leaves you in complete awe and gratitude,

You might have taken one step towards God, made o...

Patience, forgiveness and acceptance are NOT only among the hardest virtues to achieve, but even to realize it truly means to be patience (الصبر), to forgive (المغفرة) and to accept (الرضا). This is why Allah made them amongst the best of deeds that the strong willed and the righteous are guided to do. Patience is the one that came to mind today. A dear brother started a great project for the sake of Allah and needed (and still need) help along h...See more

Sometimes in cooking, certain recipes require time to sit so that the flavors blend (for example, a salad dressing, marinade or a sauce) or for a chemical reaction to occur (for example, in a batter or dough).

The waiting time improves the end result. And sometimes, if you don't wait, the end result will not work out very well.

Life can be this way too sometimes. We have different experiences, gain new knowledge/insights, interact with and le...

Patience in adversity is a recurring theme mentioned multiple times throughout the Quran. Patience is not merely a virtue, but a means of seeking help and maintaining a strong connection with Allah, It encourages us to remain steadfast, to hold onto our faith, and to understand that we are not alone in our struggles. We have all been through some times in life when we feel like giving up. When we feel like life is a cruel joke meant to taunt us ...See more

QURANIC MAXIMS DAY 13: 'Is the reward for goodness anything except goodness?' (55:60)

My favourite! I recall the first time I was 'obsessed' with this ayah. It was because I remember Allah says He loves the doers of good /muhsineen. He would never discount the reward of the muhsineen. The Anbiya were amongst the good doers and He rewarded them with His blessings and guidance.

Doers of good, of ihsan. In a hadith, Ihsan is said to worship Al...
